ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is International Women’s Day which recognizes the economic, political and social achievements women have accomplished throughout history. We honor mothers, wives, friends, and sisters. What would we ever do without them?
Women’s Day is all about celebrating these incredible people and show them how much we love and respect and value them.
Grand gestures aren’t necessarily required to show appreciation, sometimes a simple thank you is enough to lift an overworked woman’s spirits.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A Woman’s Viewpoint
Age 8: Looks at herself and see Cinderella
Age 15: Looks at her self and sees Cinderella/Sleeping Beauty/a cheerleader
Age 20: Looks at herself and sees too fat/too thin/ too short/too tall/ too straight/too curly, decides she doesn’t have time to fix it and goes out
Age 40: Looks at herself and sees too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly , and says, At least I’m clean, and goes out.
Age 50: Looks at herself, says, I am, and goes wherever she wants to.
Age 70: Looks at herself and sees wisdom and laughter, and goes out to enjoy life
Age 80: Doesn’t even bother to look, just puts on a red hat and goes out to be who she is.

I am thankful that I am a woman so will certainly be celebrating today. I’m thankful too for all the women in my life and would like to say Thank You to you all today. I’m grateful for my grandmothers, who inspired me, for my mother that raised me, for my daughter and daughter in laws, for my granddaughters, for my sisters, my nieces and my friends .
I’m thankful that I was a wife and a daughter and blessed to be a sister, a wife, a mother, a keeper of the home, and a grandmother. I’ve never regretted being born a woman.
It is hard to believe in this day and age that at one point in history, we were not allowed to vote. But thanks to some brave women, we now have many rights, including voting, which we didn’t used to have. But there are still many women who don’t have the rights and privileges we do, and they deserve our prayers today.
So happy Woman s Day. It’s a day to appreciate all the women in our lives. Today’s pictures of just a few of the women in my life. I have many but it was hard to find recent pictures that had only gals and none of the guys in them.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
