ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
March brings breezes loud and shrill.
Stirs the dancing daffodil.
Sara Coleridge.
Peanut butter is known as favorite sandwich spread and is often combined with Jelly, so today I’m sharing my recipe for PBandJ squares. They are a favorite of mine.
PB&J Oatmeal Cookie Bars
2 sticks of butter, softened
1 1/2 c. Brown sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
2 tsp baking soda
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 c. rolled oats
1 c. jelly, your choice
Preheat ove to 350 degrés. Line a 13 by 9 inch baking pan with foil or parchment paper. leaving a little extra over the edge of the dis. Grease with butter.
Beat butter, brown sugar and vanilla until smooth Beat in egg. Mix in peanut butter. Slowly add in flour and baking soda, mix until incorporated. Fold in nuts.
Set aside 1/2 cup of the dough, and press the rest into the bottom of your prepared pan. Spread jelly over top of dough. Pinch of pieces of reserved dough and drop them on top of jelly.
Bake for approximately 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool and grab edges of foil or parchment paper and pull out of pan fore easy cutting. Cut into squares.
Giving compliments is always a good thing. People love to get them. There is nothing better than knowing how you make a difference in other peoples lives and that what you do matters.
Always remember: You are special. You are unique and one of a kind. You’re the BEST!
I hope you will join me on this World Day of Prayer in praying for others. It’s a wonderful feeling to know that there are people all around the world praying for those in need. Today we honor St. David, the Patron of Wales. Some will be wearing a daffodil, being one of the national emblems of the country. As the month of March begins, we are reminded that winter is past and spring is upon us. Signs such as daffodils are popping up everywhere.
Lord of life,
we give you thanks
for the beauty of creation,
and we rejoice
when we see signs of new life.
May we be Spring to others
and never Winter.
Amen
,
Daffodils pop up at the end of Winter or the beginning of Spring and in Ohio the tips of their leaves are just beginning to show everywhere.
It’s the day for a haircut here at my house. For us March is coming in like a lamb and it’s going to be a quiet day with temps in the 30’s. No rain, no snow, but they say the weekend might be a whole different story.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday! Happy 1st day of March.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Life is the greatest gift that could ever be conceived…A daffodil pushing up through the dark earth to the spring, knowing somehow deep in its roots that spring and light and sunshine will come. has more courage and more knowledge of the value of life than any human being I’ve met.
Madeleine L’Engle
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6839. for March, the month of daffodils
6840. for peanut butter, good and good for you
6841. for prayer, it always works
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

So much to celebrate today, but my favorite has to be yellow daffodils! One of tour first signs of Spring.
Ah the ears on the first bunny as ever so cute and March is surely a popular month with all the special celebrations..... Spring will do that for you.
National Day of Prayer.... I'm on it, MA!! Have a wonderful first day of March. Love, Andrea xoxo
Will indeed say a prayer for others today. Glad to hear March is coming in like a lamb, same here with temps to go to about 78 tomorrow. I always feel better after a haircut!
betty
I couldn't pass for a cheerleader … but how I appreciate prayer; and of course, my jar of JIF!
A sincere compliment can sure make my day! (Can't we all discern the difference?) This may sound strange, but one thing I have to thank my former employer for is learning to empathize, whether you feel it inside or not. Day before yesterday, the cashier at Wal-Mart looked so weary, ready to drop. Her extra-long fingernails were painted a awful garish pattern, but still I looked her in the eye and said, "Wow, I love your nails!" You should have seen her face light up and she began telling me about them. I hope that helped her deal with her day even a little bit.
International Mirth Month? Woo HOO! We can never have too much laughter in our lives. It's like exercise for our insides. (And the only kind of exercise I get every day...)
Our daffodils are about done now, but the hyacinths are still looking good. :)
