ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Valentines Day which is a day to surprise your loved ones with thoughtful cards, homemade chocolates or flowers.
The tradition of sending romantic greetings emerged during the Middle Ages. The holiday was named for St. Valentine who was a priest that secretly performed marriages for lovers forbidden to wed.
By the 19th century, sending anonymous messages of cards to a secret love was the custom. Victorian Valentines of lace and imagination were works of art.
In the second half of the 20th century the practice of exchanging cards was extended to all manner of gifts, including roses and chocolates packed in a red satin, heart shaped box.
In some schools, children decorate classrooms, exchange cards and eat sweet treats.
The U.S. Greeting Card Associate estimates that approximately one billion valentines are sent each year world wide, making the day the second largest card sending holiday of the year, right behind Christmas.
Valentines Day is the perfect time to celebrate affection, friendship and love.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Roses are Red,
Violets are Blue
Sugar is Sweet
and so are YOU!
I didn’t get any cards sent out for today, nor did I send out any chocolates or flowers, but I am sending out lots of love here in my newsletter today.
I’m wishing all of you a very Happy Valentines Day!
Here at my house it will be a day like most any other. I’ve had the house decorated with flowers and hearts in order to cheer up these winter days, when everything is pretty gloomy. Come March I will decorate for Spring and Easter.
Truly we shouldn’t need a day dedicated to showing the ones we love that we love them, because that day should be every day!
You are loved !
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Love is aways bestowed as a gift—freely, willingly, and without expectation. We don’t love to be loved. We love to love.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

ADVICE FOR TODAY
The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.

I love you a bushel and peck, a bushel and peck, and a hug around the neck! (((HUGS)))
Happy Valentines day to you and indeed a little chocolate helps:)
That is so true, Ma, we should celebrate love every day, not just on Valentine's Day. But it is nice to have a day set aside where we can party a bit if we want and enjoy being around those we love or at least thinking about them.
betty
We're enjoying a low-key sort of Valentine's ourselves. Fortunately, Tom and I believe in expressing our love every day. (Rather, we TRY to … lol.) This morning, for instance. I didn't feel much like going to the 'Y' so I put aside my distaste of yard work and helped Tom rake and mulch. There's little I dislike more, but between the two of us it went much more quickly and he was genuinely appreciative.
Happy ☺ Valentine's ❤ Day.
