ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Super Bowl Sunday which is the championship game of the National Football League. It is the most watched American television broadcast and is the second largest U.S. food consumption day, after Thanksgiving.
Because of the high view ship, commercial airtime for the Super Bowl broadcast is the most expensive of the year. As a result commercials have become a significant aspect as well. The Super Bowl is famous for it’s commercials, its halftime show and it’s ability to bring people together to celebrate.
It’s a day to sit back and enjoy the company friends and family and root for your favorite team.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Winning means being unafraid to lose.
Fran Tarkenton
While I’m really not much of a football fan, I do enjoy the commercials, the halftime show and the food on Super Bowl Sunday. It is amazing how many people do get involved in this holiday.
After the below average temps of this past week, today we’re to be above average and temps are soaring up into the 50’s. I am not sad to see some of the ice melt, it was difficult for me just to walk to the mailbox as it was so icy out there. My own drive way was clear, but it connects to two of my neighbor’s that live in front of me.
This morning I’m off to church as usual. Thankfully the car battery survived the biter cold too and the car is still running. After the cold days, it feels like a heat wave. It’s great to be able to get outside safely and enjoy the nicer weather.
The only football pictures I have to show are the ones taken at our annual mud football game taken at our family Thanksgiving two years ago. This past Thanksgiving we weren’t able to get outside due to the weather.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
When you have confidence, you can have a lot of fun And when you have fun, you can do amazing things.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6760. for a TV to watch and good food to eat
6761. for a car that runs
6762. for a milder day
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
In life, as in football, you won’t go far unless you know where the goalposts are.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Go Team! Wishing the best to both teams today. I don't have a favorite, as our own Cleveland Browns didn't make it to the Super Bowl.
Love the quote...
Looked like fun playing football! We are going over to son's for a Super Bowl party this afternoon. Lots of food I would imagine! I too like the commercials and do like watching the game. I hope it is a close scoring game.

Just was looking at one of my songwriters recently, Paul Craft. He wrote, "Drop Kick Me Jesus, Through the Goal Posts of Life". I remember a sermon once where the preacher made fun of the song. If you listen to it though, I think you will like it. I do.
