ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Random Acts of Kindness day which a day practice kindness and pay it forward. Kindness is the act of showing concern for others, loved ones and strangers, without any expectations of any consideration in return.
Kindness is being friendly and polite to others and maybe doing something nice for them. For example, we might bake a cake to share with others. Or we might give food to homeless people. We could let someone go first in line at the supermarket or whatever comes to mind.
Every day should be a day to be kind.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Have you had a kindness shown/
Pass it on!
’Twas not given for thee alone.
Pass it on!
Let it travel down the years,
Let it wipe another’s tears,
’Till in Heaven the deed appears—
Pass it on!
Henry Burton
To my way of thinking, life is too short to be anything but loving and kind. And sometimes that means you need to be kind to yourself too. That is what Sunday’s are all about here at my house. After a busy week, I take the time to rest, renew and refresh. We all need some time out.
We should treat others the way we want to be treated. It’s the golden rule of life and always makes a difference. When we try to brighten the lives of others we brighten our own too. But sometimes we need to be good to ourselves in order to be good for others. Kindness to yourself is kindness to others. It enables us to more patient. kind, supportive, forgiving and loving. To take care of others you’ve got to take care of yourself, otherwise you start running on empty and get burned out. The better we feel, the more love we are able to give.
The pictures today are from my day out with DD yesterday. I’m blessed to have such a kind and loving daughter.
I gave in and bought some new black pants, also got some Bath and Body works products, a couple of new tops. a scarf and a new wallet which I badly needed.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Courtesies of a small and trivial character are the ones which strike deepest in the gratefully and appreciating heart.
Henry Clay
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6802. for a day out with my daughter
6803. for a Sunday to renew and refresh
6804. for acts of kindness, they always make a difference
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
The best portion of a good man’s life is his little, nameless , unremembered acts of kindness and of love.
William Wordsworth
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Pass it on !
Good morning! Gosh, your first few paragraphs remind me of Sean Dietrich's column .... great minds!
You look really pretty in that second photo with your DD, and I love that sweater. Thanks for sharing your happy day with us!
You did great on your shopping trip! Looked like lots of fun. So true about being kind and just treating people how we would want to be treated would make this world a brighter place indeed!
betty
Your daughter is a beauty! You both look so happy!
I love how you mark the calendar to the first day of spring.....and the sunrise and sunset times.
Next thing I’ll notice you will be doing the days until summer! It feels like time is blowing like the wind!
We go back down to the ranch tomorrow. I can’t wait! I’m always so excited to get on the road and it’s only a two hour drive! But we stop and will probably pick up some groceries on the way. Like milk. I’m taking food from the fridge here and I left the pantry and freezer stocked when we left last month. Wishing you a good week!
What great advice to be kind to ourselves. You are right if we are empty we have nothing to give. Your DD is a pretty little thing and happy you could spend time toghether.
