ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Be Humble Day which focuses on humbling yourself. There is no bragging or boasting allowed today. Be Humble Day is about encouraging others and focusing on their achievements, not your own.
Humbleness is a good thing, a virtue. So take this day to listen to others, not boast about ones own life and achievements, and to accept that we have faults that we need to work on. Practice humbleness today and every day. It will serve you well in life.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Life is a long lesson in humility.
James Me. Barrie
Believe me when I say, I am a humble person. Anytime I’ve ever been tempted to think I’ve done something great, the good Lord, proves me otherwise. Truly, I’ve learned to give all honor and praise to God. He has provided what I have and I’m very thankful for it.
They say that it is ok to brag about others and celebrate their achievements today, so that is what I’m doing today. Our Princess has made the Deans List, and our little Xfactor has been honored as Top Student at his school this month. They are over achievers as are all of my grandchildren. They are each unique and special and I love them all. So today’s pictures are of some my grand babes.
Our weather continues to be a roller coaster ride. By Sunday we’ll be at a high in the 50’s and then we go plummeting back down to the 30’s.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The proud man counts his newspaper clippings the humble man his blessings.
Fulton J. Sheen
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6817. For grandchildren, they do make me smile
6818. for warmer days
6819. for schools that honor good students
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it is thinking of yourself less.
Rick Warren
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

Always be humble and kind...
I love that last quote. Some people seem to think humility is the same thing as self-deprecation, but I think of it as more of a realistic world-view. The miracle of our very existence is a gift for which we can take no credit.
Congrats to your Princess for making the Dean's list! That is an accomplishment, especially her first year of college! Congrats too to XFactor for being Top Student of the Month at his school. Great achievements indeed!
Jesus was humble and if he, the Son of God, could live a life of humility, we should surely follow in his example. I was reading that yesterday it was a year since Billy Graham died. Another pastor friend of his said that Billy Graham was the most humble man he ever knew. Never wanted to talk about himself but always wanted to talk about God. Again, we should follow his example :)
We wwere so cold here for us the past few days. Yesterday it even had some snow showers in parts of this area. But then my tablet's weather said it might be 81 degrees next Thursday!
betty
Big (!!!) congratulations, both to your Princess and X-Factor! A child who loves to learn is such a gift. I'd certainly be humbled to have to sit in a classroom nowadays and try to absorb what is being taught.
Crazy weather, for sure. I like to say I came to Alabama to escape the heat. Well, yesterday was 82* here and it went and snowed in Phoenix!
