ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Lost and Found Day which set aside to encourage us to find any belongings which we have lost and put an end to the frustration of having to go without something we need.
Losing things is a part of life. There are lost and found offices all around the world full of things that people have lost and forgotten about.
Lost and Found Day reminds people not to give up on things lost and increase efforts to find them.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
In many ways my life has been rather like a record of the lost and found. Perhaps all lives are like that.
Lucy Foley
I’ve misplaced or lost my Christmas cards and truth is I don’t want to take the time to look for them right now. I’ve way too many other things that need to be done.
Over the years I’ve probably spent half my life in the research department. Searching over and over for something I’ve lost. Since I moved this year, it is a possibility that some things I’ve thought lost were simply given away. I gave away so much due the fact my new home is much smaller and I don’t remember exactly what I did keep.
If something happens to turn up I guess I should just count it a blessing and move on. The days of searching are over for me. There’s been too much time wasted.
Letting things go and moving on is one way to make life easier on ourselves for sure. Moving forward one step at a time keeps us going, how ever slowly that might be.
I’m hoping that my work in Santa’s workshop will be completed by this weekend so it’s still quite busy here at my house. Next week I want to move on to gift wrapping and baking. We’ll see...
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s Brownie Day!
Brownies are always a favorite treat in our family and I found this recipe to share to day for Rocky Road Brownies In a Mason Jar. They are the perfect gift for this upcoming holiday season
Rocky Road Brownies in a Mason Jar
1/2 Cup Flour
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Bittersweet Chocolate Chips, or Bakers Chocolate cut up into chunks
1/2 Cup Walnuts,
1/2 Cup Marshmallows, cut up, or mini marshmallows
1 quite wide mouth Mason jar
Ribbon for garnish
Labels for the recipe
1 stick Butter
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
To assemble the jar use a piece of paper as a funnel. Start by pouring ingredients into the mason jar in the following order: flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and walnuts.
Then wrap the marshmallows in plastic wrap and put on top of the nuts. Put the lid onto then jar, then add a label with the recipe and gift to someone.
To make the brownies; Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a square baking dish with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. In a bowl add stick of butter and microwave it for 30 seconds. Then add eggs and vanilla and stir.
Next add contents of jar, minus the marshmallows and stir. Pour batter into the prepared and and then top with marshmallows. Bake for 35 minutes and remove and allow to cool and then lift out parchment paper out and cut brownies in 3’s or 4’s so you’ll get 9 or 12 brownies.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Happiness is a simple game of lost and found: Lose the things you take for granted, and you will feel great happiness once they are found.
Richelle E. Goodrich
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

The buying and the wrapping... oh my goodness, eh?!! Luckily mine is done but oooohhhhh boy!! The older I get, the harder it gets. Like most things in life, I suppose. :-) Have a blessed day. xoxo
Glad to see your internet is working again! I know, the older I get I can't remember if I had something or gave it away. A lot of times I just figure I probably don't need whatever I was trying to find.
betty
Re-search? That's a good one, for sure. E.J. Mellow hit the nail on the head, didn't he/she?
I'm not at all creative, but the Brownies in a Mason Jar idea sounds easy and would be such fun to receive!
"Let it go", that is good advice.
I must admit that I sometimes mourn the books I have given away. I do love my books!
