Life is a Special Occasion!

Today, Sorry Charlie Day, is for all of those who have been rejected, and yet somehow survived it. Celebrate this day by taking a minute to remember a past rejection. After doing this, be happy and realize the fact that this happens to all of us.
It is thought that this American catchphrase came from that commercial that ran in the late 1960s of Charlie, the Starkist Tuna. Charlie believes that he is so hip and cultured that he has 'good taste,' and he is thus the perfect tuna for StarKist.
The reason given by the narrator for the rejection was that StarKist was not looking for tuna with good taste but rather for tuna that tasted good. Thus the phrase ‘Sorry Charlie’ was born.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
To love is to risk rejection, to live is to risk dying and to hope is to risk failure. But risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing at all
Author Unknown
We all have days that we feel a little rejected, but I always try to look on the bright side of things and know that even though things might not always look good there is something good to be found in every day.
It seems everything we do involves taking a risk. If you risk taking that first step, you might stumble, but at least you tried.
Every day is filled with new possibilities so if yesterday wasn’t so good, just remember our attitudes often determine our outcome. We need to remind ourselves that each day is a new beginning.
Starting every day with a thankful heart and a smile on our face is a great way to begin. The pictures today are more of my Easter decorations here at my house. I’ll leave them up for a little while yet, then they’ll get packed away for another year. Looks like it’ll mostly be a wet week ahead for us with a chance of showers most every day. But on the bright side it will be warmer!
Hope you all have a marvelous Monday and a wonderful new week ahead !

ADVICE FOR TODAY
Remember, we all stumble, every one of us. That's why it's a comfort to go hand in hand.

Such cute decorations, Ma! I do remember the Sorry Charle tuna commercials. Good idea to have a day to remember past rejections, not to dwell on them, but to see if we have learned from them and are doing things differently if something needed to be changed. Glad that it is going to be warmer there, but hopefully not too be much rain will fall :)
betty
All your decorations are adorable...so sweet.
Hope you had a blessed Easter.
