Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
National Tell a Story Day is celebrated in the United States each year on April 27th. This is a day that was created for people to get together to tell stories of all kinds. They can be stories from a book, from memory or from your imagination.
Telling stories of past generations is a good way to carry on traditions within one’s family as well as being interesting and educational. Some of the very best stories are ones that are told of about past experiences and adventures.
Many people enjoy listening to their grandparents share their stories about when they were growing up . Spending time telling stories with family, friends and loved ones is a time for all to learn from each other, to remember and to grow closer together.
On National Tell a Story Day, it does not matter if the story is a short story or a long story, fiction or nonfiction, a tall tale or a folklore, this day is a day for them all and enjoy telling the story!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
There are always three sides to every story: your side, the other side, and the truth.

There is a lot of value in telling stories of our past and of those that have gone before us. I was blessed to have spent some wonderful times sitting around the table with a good cup of coffee and listening to the tales my parents had to tell.
There are many things I would not know if they had not shared their stories. I only wish they had shared more as there are still a lot of questions with no answers.
Stories can entertain and impart wisdom. Storytelling ignites the imagination.
Stories help people understand their place in the world.
It’s relaxing. A stress reducer!
Storytelling provides valuable one on one time with the teller and listener. And I think telling stories to children is an expression of love.
Storytelling connects people and communities. It’s a positive form of communication that fosters compassion and understanding. S
tories preserve cultures, beliefs and values and shares those cultures, beliefs and values with the rest of the world.
There is nothing like a good story.
I hope you all have a wonderful start to this new week. Happy Monday !
This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anyone could have.

Please join me in praying for DS#4 as he will be having surgery tomorrow. After being diagnosed with gall bladder problems, he’s finally having it dealt with. May the dear Lord guide the hands of the doctors caring for him and bless him with a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
He recently changed jobs and is having to relocate to a different state and prayers are needed too for a smooth transition for him and his family. The next couple of months are really going to be extra busy ones for them.

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's

ADVICE FOR TODAY
Listening to both sides of a story will convince you that there is more to a story than both sides.

Will say a prayer for DDS#4 Ma. It does sound like busy times for the family! I liked hearing stories my mom would share about growing up; as we didn't have a car and walked for groceries at times she would share the stories then. Loved them and they made the walk go quicker. And you are right, there are several questions I have that I'll not have answers to.

Sadly, my parents never shared memories of their past. I know so little about my grandparents.
Hope your day is wonderful.
