Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Audacity to Hope Day is celebrated today, June 4th. It is a day for everyone to recommit to their dreams with the 'audacity to hope' that they can be achieved. It is really a day for and about all people, of all times. So, even if your dreams seem improbable, have the audacity to hope. And try. And work.
Maybe you can achieve those dreams, after all!
You've gotta have hope. Without hope life is meaningless. Without hope life is meaning less and less.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Once you choose hope, anything's possible.
Christopher Reeve
Hope is an important thing. Without it we would be helpless against the horrors of reality and the world that we have created. We would succumb to the voice inside our head that says success is impossible. Actions are more powerful than mere pleasant thoughts. But without hope we would probably never get started. Today is the day to hope against hope. Go for something big, go for something you’re not even sure is possible. Have the audacity to hope for whatever it is that you want to accomplish.
It looks like after today we’ll be getting a few days break from the rain. Thursday, Friday and Saturday should be dry, much cooler and party sunny too. We went from a high on Tuesday of 89 to a high of 71 for today and only 67 degrees for tomorrow.
I found this tasty casserole recipe on one of the blogs I read and thought I’d try it out. A big thank you to Marty for the recipe.
Hamburger/Cheese Casserole
1 lb. ground chuck crumbled and browned.
1 medium onion diced and cooked with the meat the last few minutes to infuse the flavor and soften the onion.
Sprinkle both generously with garlic salt while cooking.
1 pkg. elbow macaroni cooked and drained
2 small cans tomato sauce
1/2 can water
3/4 pkg shredded cheese. The 3 cheese variety is best.
Cook the macaroni in boiling water while you brown the meat and onion in a skillet. Drain the macaroni well, then add the meat mixture. Stir in the tomato sauce and water. Mix it all together well. Place into large casserole dish and cover with the cheese. Cover with foil. Be sure to spray your foil with Pam or some kind of non stick spray so it won't stick to the cheese when baking.
Bake at 350 degrees until the cheese is melted through.
The pictures today are of what we call Red Hot Pokers. They start blooming in June but are here for the 4th of July too. Very appropriate I think as they remind me of fire crackers.
I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday
PRAYER REQUESTS
A friend of mine wrote requesting our prayers. She ask for some prayers for 2 situations that have come up this past week. Her son will be going through extensive tests involving the spine and along with that has just been confirmed with a
bleeding ulcer. His wife’s sister has just been diagnosed with Uterine Cancer. She is just 50. Prayers for both would really be appreciated.
As in all things we pray, Thy will be done Lord.
A smile is nature's best antidote for discouragement.
It brings rest to the weary,
Sunshine to those who are frowning,
And hope to those who are hopeless and defeated.
A smile is so valuable that it can't be bought,
Begged, borrowed, or taken away against your will.
You have to be willing to give a smile away
Before it can do anyone else any good.
So if someone is too tired or grumpy to flash you a smile,
Let him have one of yours anyway.
Nobody needs a smile as much
As the person who has none to give.

COUNTING MY GIFTS
Faith goes
up the stairs
love has built
and looks out the window
which hope has opened...
Charles Spurgeon
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached over 1700 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1730. for hope, we’d get no where without it
1731. for my faith that renews my hope
1732. for plenty to do, it keeps me out of trouble
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
When the world says, Give up,
Hope whispers, Try it one more time.

The Spurgeon quote is wonderful. Thank you!
Audacity to Hope... that's what we all need today!
I am asking God to help your prayer request family, sometimes it seems to come a down-pour in our lives.
Prayers said for your friend's requests. So true about hope, Ma. We need it if we are going to survive!

I hope I do well on my audit at work next week, but my store manager says Hope is a girl's name not a retail strategy, lol...
Sending Special Thoughts to your friend... :)
