THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Today’s pictures were taken last summer on a stroll we took through the historic village of Zoar, Ohio. Quiet different than my own town for sure. It was a step back in time.
For several summers after I retired, I’d walk down town and back most every day. Now that I’m a bit older, a stroll like that is not an every day occurrence at all. I do love to stroll along and see what has changed around our town. Other than seasonal changes though nothing much new happens at all. Still there are some pretty sights to see. Our town square with it’s fountain is always a pretty place to sit and do some people watching.
On this last day of June, it looks like it’ll be another hot and steamy day here in Ohio. Rain is expected too. Hope you are all enjoying the summer and are finding ways to keep cool. Happy Monday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached over 1800 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1808. for strolls around town, there is really a lot to see all around us
1809. for gardens that will soon start providing us with lots of fresh veggies
1810. for a summer breeze that cools even when its hot out
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
When mists rise in low ground and soon vanish, nothing is a surer sign of fair weather
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

What a pretty town that you visited last year, Ma! It does look quaint. It is always neat to take a walk, even at a slower pace, to get out and see what is happening around us!
