Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
June 22nd is designated as Stupid Guy Thing Day, a day to commemorate all of the really stupid things guys do. I'm not kidding. I don't make this stuff up, I just report it. It seems that the two most attributed mistakes men make is to leave the toilet seat up and to never ask for directions. Today is for you guys. Leave the toilet seat up today, for tomorrow it shall get you in trouble. Go ahead and get lost, do not ask for directions, and drive the car dry trying to get there... but tomorrow, you better have a map.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Do not fear mistakes. You will know failure. Continue to reach out.
Robert Galvin
People can make all kinds of mistakes in their lives. Mistakes are made at work, that ultimately make you a stronger employee, supervisor or boss. Some mistakes get made with our partners and loved ones. These mistakes can make a relationship stronger, or break a relationship. More often than not, mistakes are just stupid errors that happen because people have a momentary lapse in judgment.
While I don’t think that the good Lord made any stupid people, we are all only human and do make mistakes. There are factors we have no control over that impact our lives daily, and we to need to recognize that mistakes are an inevitable part of being human. We all make mistakes, and we all pay a price for it. That is just part of life, and part of being human.
The key lies in how we view mistakes and what we do with them. The lessons that can be learned from mistakes can be more powerful than those of our successes, and therefore improve our future development.
Everyone makes mistakes in life, but that doesn't mean they have to pay for them for the rest of their lives either. One of my favorite sayings is to Pick yourself up, take a deep breath, dust yourself off and start all over again.
It almost seems impossible that it is Sunday again. This week has flown by. Hopefully you all will enjoy a day of rest and relaxation to get you ready for the new week ahead. I’ll be off to church a little later this morning and that always refreshes and renews me.
You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space.
Johnny Cash
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Mistakes are a great educator when one is honest enough to admit them and willing to learn from them.
Author Unknown
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached over 1700 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1784. for lessons I’ve learned from making mistakes
1785. for Sunday, a day that renews and refreshes
1786. for forgiveness, we are only human beings after all
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little. Do what you can.

A bit of love from someone dear…

So true that everyone makes mistakes, Ma, you are right we just need to learn from then and not let them define who we are. I think we do grow after each mistake we make because we don't want to tryo to make them again.
That is too funny about what day this is and the two things men do a lot with not putting the toilet seat down or asking for directions. I think its probably a good thing that GPS was invented to help men avoid having to ask for directions :)
