Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Celebrated each year on June 20th, it is National American Eagle Day. This day is set aside to honor our national symbol, raise awareness for protecting the Bald Eagle, to assist in the recovery of their natural environments and to take part in educational outreach. The Bald Eagle is both the national bird and the national animal of the United States of America and appears on its Seal.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Whether or not you reach your goals in life depends entirely on how well you prepare for them and how badly you want them. You're eagles! Stretch your wings and fly to the sky
Ronald McNair
I love to watch an eagle flying in the sky. Did you know that an eagle learns to soar by using thermal currents of air. These warm air patterns are created by the surrounding terrain. They will spread their wings and their tail feathers and let the wind carry them to new heights, then glide down to catch another upward thermal. Soaring saves an eagle energy because it does not have to flap its wings as often.
When I think of wings, I consider them to be parables of our wings of faith. Faith is a heart condition where we stretch out and reach toward the Lord, while the winds of His Spirit holds us afloat.
Eagles are not meant to carry burdens. They are meant to soar high in the sky in total freedom. Like the eagle, we are not meant to carry heavy burdens. When we see an eagle soaring in freedom, we see our life as it’s meant to be.
Negative thoughts prevent you from soaring. You swallow them one at a time until the burden becomes so heavy you can no longer get airborne. Negative thoughts keep you grounded for the rest of your life unless you eliminate them.
I have found that a positive attitude in life and a thankful heart can take you many places you’d not otherwise go.
Yesterday we got a break from the rain and thankfully we got a chance to dry out a bit from the storms we had on Wednesday. Today we have a chance for more rain.
I hope you all have a fantastic Friday!
There are two lasting bequests we can give our children: One is roots, the other is wings

COUNTING MY GIFTS
...but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached over 1700 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1778. for the eagle, who’s strength we admire

I enjoyed reading your thoughts about the eagle, Ma, and how it isn't meant to carry burdens. I want to soar like the eagle while the Holy Spirit holds me afloat. That is a good word imagery!
