Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
June 8th, Upsy Daisy Day, encourages you to face the day positively, and to get up ‘gloriously, gratefully and gleefully’ each morning. Start your day off with a smile, no matter what challenges lie ahead. You often hear someone say to a child 'Upsy daisy' when they are lifting them up off the ground or onto something. It means 'up you go’. Think of Upsy Daisy Day as a day to forget your troubles, lift yourself up, and be cheerful about all that life has to offer. Try a smile, see how it feels. It may surprise you that it feels good on the inside also and how other people will smile back. You may just brighten up their day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.
Phyllis Diller
Everyday is a gift and if we remember that as we rise each morning, it will help us carry a good attitude throughout the day, whatever the day may bring us. Life is full of challenges and bumps in the road, it is our attitude that helps us over the bumps and through the challenges to move onward with a smile. Be grateful and thankful for what you do have.
It's not fun when we are down and we find and our lives turned upside down. It's sometimes hard to see everything in the right perspective when we aren't standing upright. These are the days we need a lift up.
Nothing can quite lift me up as much as the lift I get out of counting my blessings every day. When things are down I look for and find something to be thankful for. If you haven’t tried it, I can recommend it. Appreciating what you do have and being thankful for it, always makes me smile.
There are some daises growing outside here at my house, the pictures today were taken last summer. The good news is they have spread out and there will be more to enjoy this summer. Daisies which open flat in bright sunshine and perhaps more than any other flower symbolise the joy of summertime warmth and light.
I hope you all have a restful and relaxing Sunday!
A friendly look, a kindly smile, one good act, and life’s worthwhile.

COUNTING MY GIFTS
Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.
Mother Teresa
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached over 1700 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.

Beautiful post!
I also quoted from Ecc.3 on my post!
My little sister had a t-shirt as a little girl that showed sun bending down to kiss a flower and it said, "HAVE A NICE DAISY"!
I liked that quote from W.C. Fields! I bet you start all your days with a smile, Ma! I also bet when those daisies bloom this year they will be so colorful!
