HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO DS#1 AND HIS WIFE TODAY!
May the dear Lord bless you both today and always!
May God give you...For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
To keep the fire burning brightly there's one easy rule: Keep the two logs together, near enough to keep each other warm and far enough apart - about a finger's breadth - for breathing room. Good fire, good marriage, same rule.
Marnie Reed Crowell
A lot of my pictures of DS#1 and his wife are taken in the kitchen. They both love to cook and are very good at it too.
They met during their college years and both were persuing culinary arts at the time. DS#1 was going into restaurant management and DDIL#1 was going into hotel management. Both of them have long let go of those pursuits. They soon left those careers behind and now do very different jobs. Still the love of cooking prevails at home.
They recently made their annual batch of apple butter and their children now join in too. The picture above shows the huge amount of apples that went into the process. We'll all be receiving a jar of it around Christmas time this year.
Most of our family times as well as those spent with friends does center around food it seems.
I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!
It takes at least two to celebrate;
But, you know, the more the merrier!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
A happy marriage is a long conversation which always seems too short.
Andre Maurois
I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts. I’ll be sharing them and giving thanks to God for these gifts each day.
938. for DS#1 and his wife
939. for anniversaries to celebrate!
940. for marriages that last
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
Newlyweds become oldyweds, and oldyweds are the reasons that families work.
