13 DAYS UNTIL FALL
Sunrise:7:02 am
Sunset: 7:49 pm
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
On this date in 1828, General George Crook, was born near Taylorsville in Montgomery County, Ohio. Following the Civil War, he was put in charge of the Arizona Territory. Chief Red Cloud of the Lakota tribe said, He never lied to us. His words gave the people hope.
The wings of hope carry us, soaring high above the driving winds of life.
Ana Jacob
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
You've gotta have hope. Without hope life is meaningless. Without hope life is meaning less and less.

I think that there is always a glimmer of hope even in the toughest of situations. If God brings you to it, then there is always a way, so don't ever give up. Don't let any one rob you of your hope.
It's been a busy week here at my house. Monday was Labor Day, Tuesday I had our little Xfactor here, Wednesday I caught up on the laundry, Thursday we made a little trip to Wooster and went to the Everything Rubbermaid store. Friday I made potato salad for the party on Saturday, And Saturday was our Mr. Wonderful's 3rd birthday party. That brings us to today and after church this morning, I think I'll just rest and relax.
Today's pictures are a few of the sights around Wooster which is in Wayne County, Ohio. It's a well cared for little town, Very neat and clean and there were several little shops I enjoyed browsing around in.
I hope you all get a lot of that good R & R today too.
Hope is the word which God has written on the brow of every man.
Victor Hugo
COUNTING MY GIFTS
God puts rainbows in the clouds so that each of us - in the dreariest and most dreaded moments - can see a possibility of hope.
Maya Angelou
I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts. I’ll be sharing them and giving thanks to God for these gifts each day.
929. for hope, what would we do without it
930. for some wonderfully cooler days, just right!
931. for a day of rest
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
Hope is putting faith to work when doubting would be easier.

I bet that Everything Rubbermaid Store was fun to explore, Ma. Why, I can't believe Mr. Wonderful is 3 already! Where does the time go? I too do agree to never give up on hope, even in the midst of the most trying of times indeed.
hoping you are relaxing this afternoon :)
betty
I had a day of rest today, MA... after church and chores I slept almost three hours! My goodness! Not usual for me in the daytimes, believe me. 13 days to fall... hurrah!
Sounds like you have had an incredibly busy week! I like weeks like that but usually need an incredibly dull week afterwards to catch my breath! I love the snippest of history that you share and the quotes. Where would I be without hope. I dare not think about that! xxoo
What a busy week. Now you need a rest. We must never give up Hope. Blessings
