ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
OCTOBER 13th, 2011
It's THURSDAY!
FACE YOUR FEARS DAY
Take a moment to consider what your life might be like if you conquered some of your greatest fears. What would you do differently? Face Your Fears Day gives you the chance to stand up to your fears, overcome them, and to seize the day.
Sadly most people let their fears cheat them out of the good things life has to offer. From enjoying the outdoors (snakes) to achieving career success (public speaking) to visiting loved ones (flying on a plane), there are myriad fears that hold people back. TODAY is a day to take action and assert some control back into your life.
You block your dream when you allow your fear to grow bigger than your faith.

NEW IN THE KITCHEN
YORKSHIRE PUDDING DAY
This traditional dish of an English Sunday brunch is made from a batter of milk, flour, eggs, and meat drippings.
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk, at room temperature
2 eggs, at room temperature
1/4 cup roast drippings
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Place muffin pan in oven and heat until ready to fill.
Pour roast dripping into a ovenproof dish preferably with a spout; cover with foil and put in oven until ready.
Mix the flour and salt in a large bowl. Mix eggs and milk together and pour into flour mixture, stir together, just to moisten.
Beat together with electric mixer on high for 2 1/2 minutes. Pour into a large pourable container.
Remove pan from oven and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Remove fat from oven.
Pour 1 tablespoon fat into each muffin cup. Pour batter into cups to fill 1/2 full. Place the muffin tin in oven and bake at 450 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes. Do not open oven door while baking.
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
AROUND HOME
A cheerful frame of mind, reinforced by relaxation... is the medicine that puts all ghosts of fear on the run.

Yesterday was a cloudy wet day. I went out and got my annual flu shot. It does a good job of keeping me healthier every year so I always try to make sure and get one.
They say today may just be a little better so my sisters and I are planning on doing a little shopping.
We are all retired now, so hopefully there will be plenty more days ahead we can spend together.
I hope to leave for the camper on Friday morning. There is still supposed to be a chance of rain, but one way or the other it is going to be cooler. Lots of warm clothing will be needed for sure.
There is a rumor going around that there will be lots of spooky looking characters hanging around there this weekend so I'm making sure I have plenty of treats on hand.
COUNTING THE DAYS

They say confession is good for the soul so here I go. I must confess...Hi, I'm Nezzy and in my 59 years here on earth, I've never had Yorkshire Puddin'. Maybe that needs to change.
My biggest fear are bad storms and tornadoes. Hope I don't have to face 'em today! Heeehehe!
God bless your day sweetie!!! :o)
I love the feed your faith quote. I never was one to let anything hold me back from anything. I've either done it or haven't had oppurtunity to do the 'thing' as yet. Now, if it comes down to bungie jumping, we may finally have a conquest I will never know. I just can't wrap my brain around it. :)
