Stupid Guy Thing Day

June 22nd is officially Stupid Guy Thing Day. I’m not kidding. I don’t make this stuff up, I just report it. It’s an actual declared day! Stupid Guy Thing Day is designated as a day to commemorate all of the stupid things guys do.

Not to worry, tomorrow is National Let it go day, so all you guys can forget about apologizing for those little annoyances and strange habits.

Congratulations! You're not perfect!

It's ridiculous to want to be perfect anyway. But then, everybody's ridiculous sometimes, except perfect people. You know what perfect is? Perfect is not eating or drinking or talking or moving a muscle or making even the teensiest mistake. Perfect is never doing anything wrong - which means never doing anything at all. Perfect is boring!

So you're not perfect! Wonderful! Have fun! Eat things that give you bad breath! Trip over your own shoelaces! Laugh! Let somebody else laugh at you! Perfect people never do any of those things. All they do is sit around and sip weak tea and think about how perfect they are. But they're really not one-hundred-percent perfect anyway. You should see them when they get the hiccups! Phooey! Who needs 'em?

You can drink pickle juice and imitate gorillas and do silly dances and sing stupid songs and wear funny hats and be as imperfect as you please and still be a good person. Good people are hard to find nowadays. And they're a lot more fun than perfect people any day of the week.

NATIONAL CHOCOLATE ECLAIR DAY

National Chocolate Eclair Day is a sugary, sweet way to start your day. It's a sweet, tasty way to end your day, too. Eclairs are a light, crisp pastry filled with a pastry cream. They are most often eaten as a dessert. They can be eaten at every meal, or as a snack.

I hope that you are not on a diet, or watching calories, carb or sugar. Because participating in this day, means consumption of high calorie, high carb, high sugar eclairs.

Chocolate Eclair Dessert

This is a no-bake pudding dessert that's so quick and easy to make -- everyone will love it. It's always good keep the ingredients on hand in case you need a quick dessert

2 individual packages graham crackers

2 (3 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix

3 cups milk

1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 (16 ounce) package prepared chocolate frosting

Line the bottom of a 9x13-inch pan with graham crackers. In a large bowl, combine pudding mix and milk. Stir well. Stir in whipped topping to pudding mixture. Spread half of mixture over graham cracker layer. Top with another layer of graham crackers and the remaining pudding. Top all with a final layer of graham crackers and frost with chocolate frosting. Refrigerate until serving.

Yesterday was our once a month dulcimer get together where we play a little music and laugh a lot. 2 of my friends and I continue to meet April through December once a month to play our dulcimers. They are simple instruments to play and I don't even read music very well, but I have books that let me play by number. After all these years you wouldn't think I'd even need the book, but I do. It's just a fun thing to do and a wonderful reason to get together with my friends.

The weather this week so far as been very disappointing. There hasn't been a chance for any morning walks with the rain we've had. DS#1 and our Prince Charming are at Scout day camp all this week and I heard that Monday wasn't very great for them either. Hopefully the sun will shine soon, on all of us.

It's Wednesday so it's OVER THE HUMP day, maybe that will make a difference.
