It's MONDAY!

AND HAPPY 1ST DAY OF SUMMER!

We really did have some perfect summer time weather this past weekend. It really couldn't have been any nicer. Not too hot by any meansand sunshine galore.

Today is to be another gorgeous day too.

The miracles of nature do not seem miracles because they are so common. If no one had ever seen a flower, even a dandelion would be the most startling event in the world

Sometimes I've felt sad that people from out of town and out of touch didn’t seem to know me and it is a reminder to me of how Jesus must have felt.

NEW IN THE KITCHEN

Pizza in a Pot

1 pound lean hamburger

1/4 pound Italian sausage or pepperoni

1 medium onion

1/2 red pepper

1 can sliced mushrooms (undrained)

1 can (5 1/2 oz.) tomato paste

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 - 2 teaspoons oregano (to taste)

1 cup pasta of your choice

Mozzarella cheese

Brown hamburger, stirring frequently to break up until no longer pink. Drain any fat. Add onions and red pepper, and stir fry, until almost done. Add mushrooms and remaining ingredients. Add enough water just to cover. Cook covered over low heat, until pasta is tender. When done, cover the entire top with as much shredded cheese as you like. Cover again, turn off burner, and let sit for 5 - 10 minutes, until cheese is melted. Spoon out servings onto warmed garlic bread, pitas or whatever you have.

Serves 4-6

AROUND HOME

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time.

My calendar for this week doesn't really have much on it. I think tomorrow my sisters and I are going to do a little shopping and on Thursday I'm to pick up DS#5 and his wife as they are returning home from their trip. Friday will probably find me back at the camper.

FAMILY

DD called with the good news that her FIL was released from the hospital on Sunday. What a wonderful Father's Day gift.Thank the good Lord for his many blessings! And many thanks to those that were praying for him too.

Everyone is out of school now and beginning summer vacations. Since I've been on vacation for a couple of months now I sure can appreciate how fast time goes by when you are having fun. I'll be praying for a safe and happy summer for you all.
