Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

Our ancestors make into what we are.
And it is also Thanksgiving for our Canadian friends!
I was also surprised to know that Leif Erickson was only 24 when he became famous. Funny learning more of Leif just after my Sherry just read about Columbus losing one of his ships on that discovery voyage of his. Anyway happy leif and Columbus day. & to the Canadians on their Thanksgiving day.
Enjoyed the post and as always your family shots.
Sherry & jack in a cool Florida, we dropped to the 60s last night. LOL
My son and DIL gifted me one of those DNA kits a few years ago. There were no big surprises, rather the percentages. For instance, I thought the Norwegian/German would be half and half, but no. The latter far exceeded the Scandanavian. All this I find fascinating, but it's not really affected how I think.
PS - My father had a cousin named Leif we met in the 60's; unusual name for the time!
So Leif Erikson founded Canada at age 24 and Columbus America - wonder how old he was?
