May the dear Lord bless you today and always!
Happy Birthday to you♥
Today is also Mad Hatter Day, which honors the Mad Hatter a famous character in Lewis Carol’s book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Today is all about embracing his absurdity.
In 1986 a group of computer technicians in Boulder, Colorado celebrated the first Mad Hatter Day. They designated this holiday a day of silliness and year after year it has grown in popularity. It is celebrated each year on October 6, because the Mad Hatter wears a top hat labeled, In this style 10/6, in the books illustrations. It is also 6 months from April Fools Day , the first silly holiday of the year.
To celebrate today, recognize the reality that it is nonsense and the silliness that is sane. Grab a top hat and celebrate a very merry Mad Hatter Day !
If you cannot see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Have fun is my message. Be silly. You’re allowed to be silly. There’s nothin wrong with it.

This granddaughter’s birthday is another one of my long distance celebrations. As usuall a card will be sent out in the mail, filled with birthday wishes and love.
She is the first of two belles in our family. We have both a Southern belle and a Northern belle. One lives in Texas south of where we live in Ohio. The 2nd was born a couple years later and lives in Ohio, our Northern belle.
For years I had a top hat at my house, but sadly when I moved, it got given away. It was one of those things I could live without. Now I wish I still had it and could put it on and be silly. I love how it feels to be silly with friends and laugh a lot. Laughing is so very good for us. It always makes me feel better. Laughter is fun and it’s fun to laugh. A lot!
That’s why I love to get together with my friends and family, we always laugh a lot together. Life is too short to be serious all the time. We all need time to laugh and be silly.
Today is my day to cook something new and on the menu is:
Parmesan Baked Cod
Makes 4 servings
4 cod fillets
2/3 cup mayonnaise
4 green onions, chopped
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place cod in an 8 inch square baking dish coated with cooking spray. Mix remaining ingredients , spread over fillets.
Bake uncovered just until fish begins to flake easily with a for about 20 minutes.
I’ll be having mine with a side of broccoli and some cole slaw.
Today we’re to be in the upper 60s and it will be cloudy with a possibility of rain later on.
It’s hard saying goodbye to the sunny warmer days we were having.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Frid
ay!

This granddaughter lives far away in Texas, but I will always celebrate her birthday, no matter how far or how near someone is we still need to show our love for them.
Happy Birthday to your Southern Belle also. Yelling it from Central Florida. I was raised under a rock and do not recognize the Mad Hatter for some reason.... My loss I am sure, since my life is absurd much of the time.
Take care and enjoy your Fall.
Sherry & jack inside dodging the heat.
Happy Birthday to your Southern Belle! I do love the monikers you give your grand-blessings.
My hats are all the serviceable kind or dressy, but I enjoy wearing them -- especially on not so great hair days.
Happy :) Birthday!!
