Hallmark!
Today is Lemonade Day which celebrates a cool and refreshing, sweet drink. It is one of the most popular beverages during the summertime. While the first written evidence of lemonade can be found in medieval Egypt, it is believed that Indian natives first began drinking forms of lemonade called, nimbu pan, or lemon water prior to the entrance of lemonade in Egypt and neighboring countries . Lemonade recipes began appearing in the U.S. during the 17th century with early arrival of European immigrants,
There are different variations of lemonade including raspberry, sparkling, frozen, ginger and pink lemonade.. It is rumored that pink lemonade was invented by a circus performer named Henry E. Allot. During a show, he accidentally dropped cinnamon candies into a container of lemonade, giving the drink a subtle pink hue, instead of disposing of the lemonade, Allot marketed the drink as pink lemonade and sold it to eager spectators.
To celebrate today, wind down with a tall glass of refreshing, fresh squeezed lemonade!
If you cannot see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
You have to turn the lemons life gives you into lemonade and you have to take time to sit back and enjoy it.

I make lemonade often to drink. It is very refreshing ! Lemons are good and good for you too. Since I am on a no sugar diet, I had to find a different way to make it and this is what I found, Strawberry Lemonade will provide a natural sweetener. Both lemons and strawberries are very good for us.
Lemons are always available in the store year round, and so are strawberries, thanks to modern day shipping methods.
No Sugar Strawberry Lemonade
8 cups water
2 cups ice
6 lemons, juiced
1/2 tsp. stevia
1 pint strawberries, sliced.
In a large pitcher, combine water, ice, lemon juice and stevia.
Stir in strawberries and let sit 15 minutes. Serve.
We had a wonderful celebration yesterday thanks to our hosts, DS#6 and family. But today I’m tired and plan on nothing to do but rest and relax.
The pictures today are of the way I used to make lemonade before I got put on a no sugar diet.
It’s to be a warm day but some rain is moving in our way. We’ll still be in the 70’s,
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
COUNTING MY BLESSINGS

Relax and enjoy a glass of lemonade today !
I like the flavor of lemons like in cake - but lemonade not so much. lol
So glad you enjoyed a nice family time yesterday!
My parents had a ribbed glass container just like what you've showed! I do love lemonade, but not enough to make a whole jug -- we just use different flavoring drops for convenience. Now, however, you've given me an idea for one of my remaining weekly challenges -- there's a drug store/soda fountain in Auburn that's famous for their homemade lemonades: Toomer's Corner.
We remember the same container Mev mentioned. LOL I was one who tried selling lemonade on the sidewalk when we moved to town. LOL
Thanks always for the history lesson, I never knew it was so detailed. Always good to be here. Thinking of you and that great family of yours.
