Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

You cannot beat the care and service in a mom and pop businesss.
Those not involved do not know the 'gamble' taken by the person who decides to START a business. My BIL used to talk about two friends who became millionaires starting their own business. I would point out that their homes, trucks and tools were on the line. If they went down they many times lost it all, where the worker if laid off, fired or quits will get another job and miss a week or two pay.
Most do not make it big, but still make a living, I admire them.
Sherry & jack in the sun with some wind...
Whenever possible, I/we enjoy patronizing 'mom and pop' businesses. Like that car rental place (can't remember the name) whose tag line was, "We try harder."
As a matter of fact, a post I'm working to get published today includes one such couple's wee coffee place.
Your weekly menu sounds good (as usual). I've never tasted tilapia, but we love pork -- and so far, it's reasonably priced.
National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day - it is so hard for people to start their own businesses. I think too Covid killed so many of the smaller businesses. I like to visit smaller businesses.
