Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

We need trees in order to breathe clean air !
As a child, the piney forests we're my favorite playground. A refuge even.
Your oak tree sounds like a beauty. I love the trees around our home as well, but fear a couple may have to be felled. In the last year alone there have been such storms that trees falling on homes resulted in significant damage and even deaths.
I love that Thomas Carlyle quote about the acorns. You are dropping good seeds here. :-)
When we first moved to GA - we had so many trees I felt like I could not breathe - I couldn't see across the street.
Now I feel bad when I see all the trees being cut down now for new buildings. And there are a ton of people moving here.
Happy Forest Day and yes we should replenish our trees!
When you said, "Our trees help provide oxygen in the air which we need in order to stay alive and for that reason I’ll be celebrating!" ....
You spoke for us too! Growing up the forests were just called 'the WOODS!' I loved going out in the woods alone or with others, I felt a wild kinship for some reason. WE were fortunate to see some of the Forests of Germany, WOW, Impressive also.
Love from Florida
