Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

I think awards are good as they give people an incentive to do better !
We didn't arrive home from the concert until very late last night ... so I still need to 'correct' the microwave and stove clocks. Oh, and our cars. Thankfully, it's not such a big deal.
I'll probably tune into the pre-show Awards tonight to see how everyone's bedecked and bedazzled. Aside from Top Gun, we haven't seen any of the nominated films so there's little interest.
Have fun on your girls' shopping spree!
We went to Knoxville today to meet my son and grandson for my birthday. I can't believe I missed the Oscars. My mom and I used to watch them all the time.
