ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR WEDNESDAY,SEPTEMBER 4TH, 2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is National Wildlife Day which is a celebration of the amazing plant and animal wildlife found in nature. It is also an opportunity to raise awareness about the many endangered species in this country and around the world. Once an animal has gone extinct, they’re lost forever to future generations. It’s our responsibility not to let that happen.
National Wildlife Day is a great day to visit your local zoo, adopt a pet, donate to an animal shelter, or volunteer to help in any way you can. Today’s pictures are of DS#6 and his family enjoying nature on Labor Day weekend.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side .
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The continued existence of wildlife and wilderness is important to the quality of life of humans.
Jim Fowler
There are a few animals here in my neighborhood. Mostly squirrels and gueese. They roam around at will. Sometimes you find them in the middle of the street, unwilling to move. Best thing you can do is go around them. They have a mind of their own. I have also seen rabbits, ducks and even a wood chuck, but not as often as the others. Nature is beautiful and always interesting. I’m lucky to have such nice big windows to look out here and love to watch what’s going on outside from the comfort of my chair. It’s like having a front row seat at the theatre. I also have the sun porch where nature becomes a little more close up with the tree right outside my window.
I haven’t started feeding the birds here, but that can also provide hours of enjoyment. We used to do that at the old house. But the birdsieed on the ground can also attract unwanted visitors so I don’t put any out. Much to our surprise we found that skunks also like to eat birdseed that has fallen to the ground. Not something I want to attract at all, thank you..
Our local TV weatherman says that we should be experiencing Pumpkin Spice weather for the rest of the week. It’s cooled down and our highs will be in the lower 70’s. Feels good to me! Good time to get the fall decorations out of the storage shed.
Nature is full of wonders; every atom is a standing miracle, and endowed with such qualities, as could not be impressed on it by a power and wisdom less than infinite.
Joseph Addison
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!

Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!

A day spent with nature, is good for you !
Love the pictures on the water! Looks like some relaxing times!
Always good to look out for wildlife and protect them as much as we can.

I'll trade you one of our possums for a squirrel! (LOL)
Love how your DS #6 is exposing your grands to hiking, and now kayaking. No vegging in front of the TV/computer like so many.
It sounds like you're enjoying some terrific autumn-like weather. It hit 100 here today, so I don't think fall's coming our way any time soon. (But I'm READY for it!)
