ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR TUESDAY,SEPTEMBER 17TH, 2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is also Citizzenship Day which is also known as Constitution Day and it is a federal holiday in the USA. On September 17, 1787 the adoption of the US Constitution was signed by delegates to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. This even commemorates all the people who take steps to become US citizens and this who have become citizens by coming of age or by naturalization.
It’s a day to celebrate your citizenship and to be proud of our constitution.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side .
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Citizenship is an attitude, a state of mind, an emotional condition that the whole is greater than the part, and that the part should be humbly proud to sacrifice itself that the whole may live.
Robert A Heinlein
I was born in the US so I am a proud citizen of this country. I take pride in being governed by our constitution and because all my family were also born in this country we are all naturalized citizens. It’s something to be thankful for. Many want to be citizens and can’t.
This grandson’s birthday is a special one as it follows on the heals of his mom’s, which was yesterday. How wonderful to have them to celebrate with. Although they don’t live close by, they do live in the US. And that makes a difference. They may not live close by, but on the bright side, it could be worse.
Our Ray ofSunshine is one half of what I call my Sunshine Boys, His older brother is know as my Sunshine Boy, and he is the younger. They always delight and warm my heart with their wonderful smiles and always have done so since they were little. It’s been a joy to see them grow into such wonderful young men.
He recently joined the JROTC in high school. I don’t know that that means he has any military aspirations but I think he was attracted to the ideals they represent. We’ll see…
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Citizenship is the chance to make a difference to the place where you belong.
Charles Handy
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7429. for our Ray of Sunshine, it’s his birthday !
7430. for young boys that grow into wonderful young men
7431. for our country and it’s constitution
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
There can be no daily democracy with out daily citizenship.

Celebrating a wonderful young man growing into a great citizen
Your Sunshine Brothers indeed have great smiles! They got them from their parents! Happy Birthday to Ray of Sunshine! A fine young man along with his brother.
My dad became a naturalized citizen after the time required for him to go through the classes and wait I think the 5 years from when he came here from Poland. I remember seeing his naturalized papers.

Happy Birthday to the "Ray-half" of your Sunshine Boys! My son belonged to the RTOC, as has one of Tom's grandsons. Love the sense of pride and country it instills in those young men (oops, and women)!
Happy ☺ Birthday 🎂
