ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SATURDAY,SEPTEMBER 7TH, 2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Neither Rain nor Snow Day which commemorates the opening of the New Your Post Office building on this day in 1914.The James A Farley Poist office building is the main post office building in New York City and is famous for bearing the inscription: Neither rain nor ice, nor gloom of niight stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.
It’s a day to show appreciation to our postal delivery people, most of all those who walk their mottos.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side .
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
I get mail, therefore, I am.
Scott Adams
There is truly no rain or snow here today, so it will be a great day for a party. Thankfully I won’t have to travel very far at all either as they live right in town, close by.I love being able to celebrate a birthday in person.
We have roadside mail boxes here where I live and our mail man does a great job of getting the mail deliveed every day. The only problem I’ve had is that mail box leaks and when it rains hard, my mail gets wet. I’ve had to dry it out a time or two before I’ve been able to read it.
I’m not complaining, just expressing a concern. I’m really thankful for daily mail delivery. It wasn’t always like that, so It could be worse. In the long ago past, mail delivery was sporadic and could take months to arrive.
The pictures today are from last winter, just incase you forgot what snow looks like.
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
There’s so much love sent through the mail.
Sheridan Hay, The Secret of Lost Things
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7402.for neither rain, nor snow, it’s a beautiful day
7403. for our postal works, who get the mail out
7404. for a party to celebrate today!
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Thank You to postal workers today! In all kinds of weather we get mail!
I have never experienced not getting mail and a good reminder that I should be thankful.
Your winter scenes look soooo nice! (I think it's 100* out there today.)
How very proud those early postal workers must have felt! Like anything else, mix-ups occur, but I haven't heard anyone coming up with an affordable alternative.
I wonder if your landlord would pay to have your box replaced, or lacquered/water-proofed … or is that the responsibility of the Postal Service?
I see our mail delivered daily. That is hard work to get in and out of the vehicle and deliver to our curbside mail box. And then in the heat. They do a great job! We had a birthday party for DIL today for some of her friends. Exhausted but it was fun. Looking at pictures of snow is all I want to see of it these days LOL.
