ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR MONDAY,SEPTEMBER 9TH, 2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Teddy Bear Day which celebrates the loveable toy that was named after President Theodore,Teddy, Roosevelt. Since the creation of the first teddy bear which sought to imitate the form of real bear cubs, teddies have been greatly varied in form, style and material.
They have become collectors items with older and rarer teddies appearing at public auctions. Teddy bears are among the most popular gifts for children are are often given to adults to signify love, congratulations or sympathy too.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side .
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The cell phone has become the adult’s transitional object, replacing the toddler’s teddy bear for comfort and a sense of belonging.

For lack of teddy bear pictures today I do have quite a few of the birthday party I went to on this past Saturday. There were a lot of gifts given, but no Teddy bears, this boy is getting too old for them now. I do know some however, who never got too old to hug their Teddy Bear, and always kept them in a place of honor in the center of their beds. The main fun of the party was breaking apart a piñata in the shape of a Llama. He is called a Lute Llama and is part of the popular game called Fortnite and that was the theme of the party. The kids all had a great time celebrating and all got a lot of sweet treats too. This Llama held a lot of lute. They also had a nerf ball fight with the good guys fighting the bad guys. I just sat back and watched it all. That is enough fun for me. Seeing the children having fun is always a delight!
It was a great weekend here with cooler fall like weather. Thankfully they had a heated pool as many of the kids went swimming too. This week it’s supposed to be a bit warmer with temps in the mid 80’s. It was really too soon for fall like weather anyway. Mid 80’s isn’t really bad at all and I’ll be enjoying each and every day
I’m happy I managed to get out the fall decorations, but the decorating isn’t complete yet. The little teddy bear pictured above is from last year. This year he is still in a bin somewhere. By the end of the week I hope to be done.
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!

Looked like a cute theme! Sounded like a lot of fun! Glad weather is starting to cool down a bit for you, Ma, and fall is in the air.
I do like Teddy Bears; so fun to snuggle with!

Cute photos! Yes, I'm one of those people who keeps a teddy (or two) on her bed. :)
Back in Florida, the church I attended collected teddy bears for the Children's Hospital. But prior to distribution, they were handed out to the congregation to bless. So cute to witness them being hugged one-by-one as they were passed along each pew.
About the same time, I visited a dentist who kept teddy bears ... and urged her patients to select one before sitting down to be worked on. She maintained, no-one's too hold to gain a measure of comfort in stressful moments.
