ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR FRIDAY,SEPTEMBER 6TH, 2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Fight Procrastination Day which a day to fight the practice of carrying out less urgent tasks in preference of the more urgent ones. or doing more pleasurable things , and putting off impending tasks to a later time. The pleasure principle may be responsible for procrastination , humans generally prefer to avoid negative emotions and delay stressful tasks.
Procrastination may result in stress as a sense of guilt , severe loss of personal productivity or commitments. If these feelings continue further procrastination occurs. It becomes a problem that often impedes how we function.
Celebrate this day by taking action to find ways to combat this never ending urge to put off our tasks for another day. With another day coming tomorrow , there’s no real reason that we can’t wait and put if off until tomorrow.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side .
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Never put off till tomorrow what may be done day after tomorrow just as well.
Mark Twain
Yes, there is always another day to do something, but it might be too late for some things. Things that were meant to be done yesterday won’t wait for another day.
If you put it off, postpone, what you could or should do now then you prcrastinate You put off for tomorrow what you can be done now, today. Delaying actions could cause problems later. Postponing car maintenance can result in costly repairs later on. Some think if they wait till the last minute they’ll be more motivated to get something dons. Then it’s a rush to the finish and probably not done as well as it could have been.
Never put off doing what you can now , don’t procrastinate and you’ll be happy you did what you could now. Don’t forget the spooner you get started the quicker you’ll finish.
Today I’m making macaroni salad for the party for Mr. Wonderful’s birthday tomorrow. I could make it tomorrow before I go, but it’ll be better when it sits overnight in the refrigerate and the flavors meld together.
Classic Macoroni Salad
8 oz. elbow macaroni, about 1 3/4 c.
1 c, mayonaise
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 c thinly sliced celery
1 c. chopped bell pepper, green or red
1/4 c. chopped onion.
Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain and rinse with cold water.
Combine mayonnaise with vinegar, Dijon Mustard, sugar, salt and pepper . Stir into macaroni, celery, green pepper and onion. Serve chilled.
I’ll have to make a double recipe to feed a crowd, but it’s not hard to make at all. The only thing I’ll be doing different is to add some chopped hard boiled eggs. I like to also sprinkle paprika on top.
Today’s pictures are of the party for Mr. Wonderful's birthday last year. It’s looking like it will be nice out and the party will probably be outside again. I see how quickly time goes just watching the grandchildren grow up.The theme for last years party was Mine Craft. This year it will be Fortnite. He is a gamer.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Time is an equal oportunity employer. Each human being has exactly the same number of hours, and minutes every day. rich people can’t buy more hours. Scientists can’’t invent new minutes. And you can’t save time to spend it another day. Even so, time is amazingly fair and forgiving. No matter how much time you’ve wasted in the past, you still have an entire tomorrow.
Denis Waitley
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7399. for time, we all have the same amount
7400. for each new day filled with 24 hours
7401. for the last minute, which is when most things get done
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
You may delay, but time will not

A bit of love from someone dear…

No time to procrastinate....time moves on way too fast.
Looked like he had a great party last year! I'm sure this year's party will be equally good! That salad sounds delicious too! I procrastinate on some things but usually I keep with what I need to get done.
betty
Yup. I've procrastinated many a time. Feels good at the time; not so much when that's the first thing you think of in the morning. (*Ugh*)
