ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR FRIDAY,SEPTEMBER 20TH, 2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Punch Day which is an opportunity to enjoy some punch which is a term for a wide assortment of drinks both non alcolhic and alcoholic, generally containing fruit or fruit juice . This drink was introduced to England by India in the early 17th century, from there it’s use spread to other countries
Punch is typically served at parties in large wide bowls, known as punch bowls . So celebrate today by mixing up your favavorite concoction today and serve it to friends.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side .
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
A pessimist, they say, sees a glass as being hold empty; and optimist sees the same glass as half full. But a giving person sees a gass of water and starts looking for someone who might be thirsty.

I do have a punch bowl here and use it for parties when my family get together. I recently got it out for my Just desserts party on labor day weekend. We always make what is known as frothy slosh.
! container ginger ale
1 bottle cranapple juice
and scoops of sherbet on top to make it froth up.
Simple and easy and good to drink. The kids love to see the sherbet make the liquid froth up. It’s our drink for the holidays and any party when we get together. I don’t think I’ll be mixing up some today as I’m the only one here, It’s meant to be made for a crowd. But I will be making sure the punch bowl is all shined up and ready for the next party. I’ll pack it away so it’ll be ready when it’s needed. The holidays are coming, and I want to be ready!
I saw the display pictured below when I went shopping this week and I think it says it all.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
There are three words I like to repeat to myself : glass half full, just to remind myself to be grateful for everything I have.
Goldie Hawn
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7438. for a punch bowl to use for parties
7439. for frothy slosh, an old family recipe
7440. for parties of all kinds, always good
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Be content with what you have and don't complain about what you don't have and you will be happy!
I have a punch bowl much like yours that was my Mom's but must admit I have rarely used it.
Odd: Only last week I was trying to remember who shared this recipe and what it contained. Great minds … thank you!
I like that punch recipe, Ma. I can see why the kids would like it too! It is getting into the Christmas preparation time for sure! Driving around the neighborhood, I saw some houses already decorated for Halloween!

It's been so many years since I had a party or made punch, I can't quite remember the recipe any more. I know it had ginger ale and orange sherbet in it, and I know it was good!
Have a wonderful weekend, dear lady.
Your punch recipe happens to be my very favorite!!
