ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 14TH, 2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGhT FOR THE DAY
The time to relax is when you don’t have time for it
Jim Goodwin
I believe that If you want to be good for others, you first have to be good to yourself. It’s important that we take care of ourselves. To get the rest we need, eat properly and exercise some too. I’m probably the most relaxed person I know, but it would be nice if I got more exercise. I couldn’t be any more relaxed than if I tried. Walking is wonderful way to destress and relax. Just being outside always makes me feel better.
Today my walking is going to be done at the grocery store. I’m making my monthly run to Sam’s Club. There are several things I like to get there that are cheaper than any other store so I like to take advantage of their bulk pricing. Gas for the car is usually cheaper there too, so I’ll be filling up there also. It’s supposed to be in the low 80’s and sunny today so it will be a great day to be out and about.
A lot of my family, both teachers and students, are going back to school this week so that is what the picture are of today, they’ll be busier than usual and not relaxing much at all, but I’m sure some milk and cookies will hit the spot after school today. These are only of a few of the grands, I’m sure there will be more coming. Our town doesn’t go back till after labor day so these guys are having an early start. I sending best wishes their way for a wonderful new school year ! Take good care of yourselves and you’ll do fine!
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!

Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Can't believe it's time for back to schoo, where did the summer go...
Hoping all have wonderful successful school years! The kids here went back last Monday. So early! I like the schools that go back after Labor Day like your town does, Ma. Sounds like you have a good day planned and I'm sure it will also include some relaxation.

Happy Relaxation Day, Ma!
We don't belong to Sam's Club or Costco, because they're quite a distance. Instead, I frequent Wal-Mart each Monday. Another blogger recently published a great idea … which I employed day before yesterday: Given recent tragedies, Sandra made it a point to walk the interior perimeter of her Wal-Mart to identify every exit. (You may already know this.) I think it's such a good idea, not just at Wal-Mart but every public facility. I don't like to live in fear, but want to be prepared.
