ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR MONDAY,AUGUST 26TH, 2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Dog Day which aims to honor dogs and to help rescue dogs from homelessness or abused. It was founded in 2004 by the National Dog Day Fundation which encourages dog ownership and af all breads and embraces the opportunity for all dogs to live a happy, safe and abuse free life.
Most breeds of dogs are all a few hundreds years old having been artificially selected for particular funchctional roles. Through selective breeding, the dog has developed more variation that any other land mammal. The dog was first domesticated and been the most widely working, hunting and pet animal in the world. They preform many roles such as hunting, herding, pulling loads, proctection, assisting police and military, companionship, and more receently aiding handicapped individuals. This impact on human society has given them the nickname Man’s best Friend.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side .
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
No one appreciates the very special genius of your conversation as the dog does.
Christopher Morley
I do love dogs and have had several in my life at one time, but at this point in my life I just enjoy my granddags. DDIL#4 had a pictures of hers on FB early this morning. That is the first picture above. He is just one of the many in our family. All very loved and well taken care of too. They are truly members of the family and are treated just like children. But today’s pictures are not of my grand dogs that I have the privilege to have in my life to love, but not the care of them, But of yesterday’s party for our little Precious one. It was a beautiful day and we got to get outside for games which made everyone happy. A big THANK YOU to DS#6 and his wife for a wonderful party. Everyone had lots of fun.
Today it’s back to normal here for me with the usual Monday duties of housework, and laundry and dishes to do, but the celebration makes these less pleasant days more bearable for sure.
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!

Every day gives us a new reason to celebrate !
Look at how much fun they are having! Sounded like a successful party! I too love dogs but I'm thinking we probably won't be getting another one any time soon. Maybe after hubby retires.

What could be more fun than pizza and crayons?! Thanks for reminding me about National Dog Day … there's still time to get my furry terrorists on Facebook. :)
