ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
MonDAY, AUGUST 12TH, 2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is also International Youth Day which was created by the The General Assembly of the United Nations on August 12th, 1999. The hope was that people would organize activities on this day that would educate the public about issues that involve youth. The assembly wanted to promote the World Prgram of Action for youth which is dedicated to finding solutions to these situations.
Today is our opportunity to find out what events are in our neighborhoods that are dedicated to our Youth.
THOUGhT FOR THE DAY
Good habits formed at youth make all the difference.

This little granddaughter is the youngest in her family and also the youngest of all my grandchildren and another long distance celebration fo rme. I won’t get to see her today but have mailed out a card for her birthday filled live love and birthday wishes. It just went out in the mail today so she probably won’t get it for another day or two, but she is always in my thoughts and prayers, as are all my grandchildren, every day.
I volunteered for years with our Scouting Program and also in our Church Youth Group. I believe it’s important to support and help our young people to grow up to be ;good adults. Many also volunteer in youth sports programs that help develop good sportsmanship, team work, and fair play too. I got involved because of my children and felt it was important to be involved with what they did. Now many of my children are doing the same for their children. It’s a good thing to pass on from one generation to the next. There is no better way to know what your child is doing and who they are doing it with. And I think that is very important in this day and age..
Besides her picture, today’s pictures are of DS#6, a cub scout den leader, and DSIL, a baseball coach. both give a lot of time to the future of our youth. I applaud all they do because of their children. The really Great thing is, that they are not the only ones, others in my family give of their time and talent volunteering too.
I hope you all have GREAT start to this new week! Happy Monday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The Youth is the hope of our future.
Jose Rizal
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7330. for youth groups and the scouting programs that help our youth
7331. for our youth, the hope of our future
7332. for volunteers, what would we do without them.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Happy ☺ Birthday 🎂
Happy birthday to Little Darling! I so agree it is important to be part of young people's lives to encourage them and teach them and coach them in activities they want to pursue!

happy Birthday blessings going out to your Little Darling!
Looking back on our church youth group's counselor/coach, 'Uncle Art' (as we called him) had to have had the patience of a saint! Thank goodness for those who care!
