ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is World Environment Day which aims to raise awarness of the importance of respecting and doing your bit for the environment.
This holiday was established by the United Nations in 1972 and is an annual event. To celebrate, get involved and find a way to make a difference and help preserve the earth and all its resources.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The environment is everything that isn’t me.
Albert Einstein
Our environment includes everything around us. The air we breath, the green grass growing, the food we eat, the clothes we wear, and everything we do. They say the earth is becoming swamped in plastic and it’s true. The pictures above show the rocking chairs on my patio. They are made from recycled plastic. They’ve been around several years now and show little if any wear.
The best thing we can do with plastic is to recycle it so it can be used for new purposes.
Here we are midweek already and after two dry days the rain returns today. A day to stay inside it seems. I have seen that there are places having drought conditions, where here we have more rain than is needed. Too bad we cannot spread it around.
Today I’m celebrating a heavenly birthday for our little Pumpkin. Hard as it is to believe this grandson would now be a teenager if he’d lived, but he left this world at two years old and will always be remembered as a baby. My prayers go out today to all those that have lost a child. It’s never easy, but thankfully their memory lives on forever in our hearts.
The best we can do is honor their memory and live each day to the best of our ability. Life goes on and I believe that someday we’ll all be together again.
The very last picture in this post today is of another my grandsons, my little X factor, who ended this school year with a couple of awards. Congrats to him for a job well done.
I’m off early this morning to get my hair cut. My hair is short and it’s grown a lot so a cut is needed. My daughter is picking me up so I’ll also get to spend some time with her too. That is always a good thing!
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Sunshine on my shoulder always makes me smile
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7129. for my little Pumpkin, gone but always remembered with love
7130. for our environment, breathe in the fresh air
7131. for the end of the school year, summer vacation begins
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

A Special Happy 🎈 Birthday 🎂
And Congratulations on the Awards. ☺
x Factor did great this year. Congrats to him! Happy birthday to Pumpkin. So hard to lose a child. I can't imagine. Strange weather everywhere it seems this year.

A hair cut and a visit with your daughter = a recipe for a good day! Rain or shine!
Heavenly birthday blessings lifted to your Pumpkin! … and a big woo-hoo to X-Factor! Because I wear my hair short, too, I have to go every 4 weeks. I'm always reluctant and then it feels so good after. Enjoy! the time with your daughter!
