ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Chocolate Pudding Day which is a day to enjoy the sweet and creamy confection that is a popular dessert all over the world.
Dessert puddings can be traced all the way back to the 17th century. During that time a pudding was actually a very moist cake similar to a modern day bread pudding or plum pudding.
During the mid 19th century a chemist named Alfred Bird developed an egg free custard powder. This remarkable invention made it very easy to produce a delicious pudding with perfect consistency.
To celebrate today make your own chocolate pudding to enjoy!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Stressed is desserts spelled backwards.

Pudding is a quick and easy dessert to make and I think that chocolate is probably a favorite of most of us. In honor of the day I thought I’d share an easy recipe if you’d like to make your own.
Chocolate pudding
1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
2 1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix sugar, cornstarch, cocoa and salt in a saucepan. Slowly stir in milk, cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until think. Stir and cook 3 minutes longer, stir in vanilla. Chill. Makes 6 servings.
My dessert so far this week has been watermelon. But since I had milk that should be used up, I mixed up some pudding. Yum!.
Here we are mid week once more and while I haven’t accomplished a lot so far, I’m thankful that the car is working and the sink drain is fixed. Hopefully everything will stay that way.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

A little sugar helps the medicine go down...
Funny I have never made home made chocolate pudding:)
Yum on the chocolate pudding! Haven't had pudding in such a long time, but maybe will have to get some for dessert when the family comes over for dinner. That way I can have a little bit and send the rest home with them :)
betty
Chocolate pudding was the very first thing I learned to 'cook' … on my grandma's stovetop. Banana pudding seems to be all the rage here in the South, but I prefer to leave THAT prep to my DIL!
