ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Happy Birthday to you♥
Today is also Go Fishing Day which is a good day to go fishing. Fishing is considered to be a peaceful activity. Getting up early and going to a lake or river for fishing increases the chances to successfully catch some fish. Some like to spend a whole day fishing and even if they do not cash fish they do not find it boring. It’s a great way to leave behind city noises street and the hectic pace .
Go Fishing Day invites people to spend a peaceful day outside and get in touch with nature.
Today is also International Picnic Day
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Some people are so much sunshine to the square inch.
Walt Whitman
I had birthday cards all ready to send out to these two today but sadly I was out of stamps. None the less, they are both wished a very happy day. I try to keep up with cards, but these will be late.
They were both born on the same day, but one year apart. They are not twins.
But the closest to it as it comes. They were always very close and did a lot together when they were young. DD was considered to be a good fisherman too, she helped her brothers to put the worms on the hooks.
I’ve had a flat tire on the car for several days now, but DS#5 said he’ll be over to get the little tire on for me, so I can take the flat one out to get it repaired.
Sure has made me appreciate having a car more. Someday, I may not have one available, but I’m not looking forward to that at all. It’s getting old just like me and things are wearing out.
It’s my day to do the planning once again and I plan to try and forget the rain and get on with what needs being done. Can’t do a thing about the weather that’s for sure.
We’re supposed to have considerable cloudiness and a chance of a stray shower today, but on the bright side the sun may peep through.
To celebrate I thought I’d make up a sunshine cake.
Pineapple Sunshine Cake
Cake:
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1 20 oz can crushed pineapple with juice
Frosting
1 eight oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. butter
1 1.2 c, confectioners sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 by 13 inch baking dish
In large bowl mix together the flour sugar and baking soda. Make a well in the center and add eggs, vanilla, and crushed pineapple with juice. Mix well to blend.
Bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
To make the frosting, combine cream cheese, butter, confectioners sugar and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Spread on warm cake.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.
James M. Barrie
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7168. for DD and DS#3, it’s their birthday
7169. for sunshine, when it comes
7170. for a day to celebrate
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!
.

Happy days to celebrate for sure !
Happy birthday to your DD and DS! So special they get to share the same day for their birthday! At least they can't forget each other's birthday! Have you ever considered a membership for the Auto Club, Ma? I think a single membership is about $78 here but so worth it for problems like flat tires, dead batteries, and other car things that happen unexpectedly. We've used it for years; some years haven't done anything with them but other years several tows, dead batteries, etc. We buy son's/DIL's membership every year as an anniversary gift and it gives me peace of mind that if they break down, especially in this hot place, help is on the way after a phone call made. Just a thought.

Happy Birthday blessings to your daughter and son #3! My own car is an '05 with near 240k miles on her … so I'm more than a little concerned about taking it out for more than a few miles. (Not so much that I'm willing to buy another $$$!) You're so fortunate to have able-bodies family members nearby!
Happy 😀 Birthdays 🎂🎈
