ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is International Fairy Day which celebrates the stories, magic, and history of the Fair Folk. For centuries fairies have been and important part of Celtic culture. In all of the ancient legends, these mythological creatures are described as intelligent, michieveious and magical. They have the ability to fly, cast spells and they live in the land of internal youth.
Some say that humans don’t often see fairies because of the division between the two worlds, but sightings can occur at twilight during Mid Summers Eve or All Hallows Even.
In his 1904 play Peter Pan, J.M. Barrie wrote that when the first baby laughed, the laugh broke into a thousand pieces and that was the beginning of fairies.
To celebrate today read a classic fairy tale, build a fairy house, or take a stroll through the woods. You never know when you might stumble across something magical.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Do you believe in fairies? Say quick that you believe. If you believe, clap your hands!
James M. Barrie
Today’s pictures are repeats of some of the fairy statuary I’ve seen in garden centers. It’s a popular thing to plant fairy gardens and there are many choices.
It’s the beginning of a new week and I’m going to be on the look out for something magical in each day. Every day may not be a good one, but there is always something good in every day when you take the time to look for it.
More car woes became evident when I tried to leave the house to go to church yesterday morning so that is what I’ll be trying to get taken care of today. I do belong to an auto club that will tow it. Let’s hope for a happy ending.
Meanwhile there is the normal everyday things that I can do, so I’ll do the laundry and some cleaning and go from there.
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Every man’s life is a fairy tale written by God’s fingers.
Hans Christian Anderson
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7186. for fairy tales, they always have a happy ending
7187. for leftovers, no need to cook
7188. for maintenance men to do the repairs
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

There is something magical to be found in every day...
I hope you car is a easy fix and glad you can have it towed. Cute little fairies for the garden.
They say corgis are the dogs of fairies :) Ick with the car; but glad you have a way to get it towed. I hate when our cars start acting up like this. I too will look for magical things in every day this week; I'm sure there will be lots of wonders around us! Our weather for sure is a wonder as we were only at 98 degrees on Saturday (compared to over 110 in previous years) and so far the air conditioner hasn't cut on if over 4 hours which is another record for this time of year.

I love that thought of a baby's first laugh turning into fairies! Methinks we need more J.M. Barrie's. Sure hope your car's woes are an easy fix.
