ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Giving Tuesday which is an opportunity to step back from the chaos of Black Friday and Cyber Monday and embrace the best part of the holidays, the season of giving. Find a way to give back to your community or support the causes that mean the most to you.
The tradition of charitable giving during the holidays began thousands of years ago. Today it continues to be an important part of many cultures and religions around the world.
To celebrate Giving Tuesday, donate to your favorite nonprofit, drop off some canned goods at your local food pantry, or give to a coat drive.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
You may give gifts without caring, but you can’t care without giving.
Frank A. Clark
For me this is a season of giving. There is always some kind of worthy cause to give to. We can help others through the gift of our time, donations, goods or our voice. We can all do little things that can make a big difference to others.
The house is now in pretty good order here. Things are decorated and the bins are ready to go back in the storage unit so today I’m getting on with the busyness of getting ready for Christmas.
I wrote out a Christmas newsletter this year, in lieu of Christmas cards, that I’ll be sending out December 1st. Those that have email will get it online, and those that don’t, will get it in the mail. I figure I’ll save a lot in postage that way.
The weather has turned colder once more and we got a couple of inches of new snow yesterday. It was nice to have some temps in the 40’s but now we dip back in the 30’s for the most part of this week and more snow is in the forecast for several days too.
Today’s pictures are of some of the crafts that were made at the party this past weekend. They were so cute I had to share them.
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas !
If you haven’t any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind of heart trouble.

I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
To give and not expect return, that is what lies in the heart of love.
Oscar Wilde
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6559. for giving, for me it's better than receiving
6560. for snail mail for those without email
6561. for much to do, life is never dull
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
May no gift be too small to give, nor too simple to receive, which is wrapped in thoughtfulness, and tied with love.
L.O Baird
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

It is in giving that we receive...
Looked like a great craft party!! It is always good to give and I'm glad they started the Giving Tuesday. I saw on Facebook that Facebook is doing matching donations until I think they reach 7 million dollars. I'll have to look into something to donate to. A friend suggested City of Hope in Los Angeles as we have another friend going through cancer treatment there.

They're creating their own wreaths?! That's a grand idea! I do hope Giving Tuesday extends in folks thoughts and their hearts into the coming weeks, even the new year. We're all in this together!
