ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National French Toast Day which is the perfect way to start or end your day. It is typically made with bread, milk and eggs and then topped with maple syrup, but many variations of this classic breakfast can be found around the world.
French toast is known in England as a pour knight’s pudding because it was a simple and inexpensive dish that a knight with no money could afford. In France, it was called pan perdu or lost bread, because it was a way of using lost or stale bread.
To celebrate today, try having breakfast for dinner. There is something good about the savory sweet smell of it, and the anticipation of having it, that will make even the worst of days a little better.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning.
J.B. Priestly
I often have breakfast for dinner. It’s quick and easy to fix and is a great way to end the day. Making French toast for me is like making pancakes, I always make more than I can eat and freeze the rest for future meals. They warm up well and I love having them on hand.
Here we are mid week and it’s usually one of the busiest days for me. I’m done with the decorating, but the carpet needs vacuuming. I got the laundry done, but it needs putting away. The dishes are done, but the dishwasher needs emptying.. and so it goes. . So I’ll be putting the finishing touches on all those things today.
Hard to believe there is only one more day until the end of November. Makes me wonder what December will bring our way. Take good care all and keep warm!
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has plenty; not on your past misfortunes of which all men have some.
Charles Dickens
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

6564. for some wonderful November days
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Don’t look back on happiness, or dream of it in the future. You are only sure of today; do not yourself be cheated out of it.
Henry Ward Beecher
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

I'll be adding a side of sausage and some applesauce too to my French Toast breakfast for dinner today!
I do like French toast! Haven't made it in a long time but enjoy it out for breakfast occasionally. Wwe often do breakfast for dinner when the family comes over. Everyone loves scrambled eggs, hash browns, and biscuits and gravy :)

I'm going to ask Tom if he enjoys French Toast? He's fond of making Polish Pancakes, but I don't recall the toast. I, too, love having a hearty breakfast at supper time. No rules, just right. :)
My gr-daughter makes the best, absolutely best bread pudding. It is like what we made when we were on the farm and had lots of crusts. Tiny pieces with a custard soaked in--mmmm.
