ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Peanut Butter Fudge Day which is the perfect treat for anyone with a sweet tooth and a love for rich , decadent dessert.
Peanut butter has been a staple in American kitchens for more than a century. It ca be served in a sandwich, mixed with ice cream, combined with chocolate or whipped into fudge.
According to legend the origin of fudge can be traced back to the 1800’s when people used the word fudge to mean cheat or mess up. One day a chef accidental fudged a batch of caramel he was trying to mike, inventing the delicious confection we know and love today.
Fudge is now made in many heavenly flavors, including the rich peanut butter variety. Try your hand at making a homemade batch in honor of Peanut Putter Fudge Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Families are like fudge…mostly sweet with a few nuts.
Barbara Johnson
Fudge is delicious and I like most any kind there is. But in honor of today, I found a quick and easy Peanut Butter Fudge recipe to share.
Peanut Butter Fudge
No stick Cooking Spray
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 2/3 c. creamy peanut butter
1, 7oz., jar of marshmallow cream
1 tsp. vanilla
Line 13 by 9 inch pan with foil and spray with cooking spray.
Combine sugar, butter and milk in a large saucepan, stirring constantly on medium heat, until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Add peanut butter, and stir until blended. Add marshmallow cream and vanilla. Beat until well blended. Spread in a prepared pan. Cool. Cut into candy sized pieces.
There is no need to check the grocery ads or even to do any shopping this week. I still have a few leftovers from Thanksgiving. The fridge is full and I don’t need a thing as far as food goes. But I do need a hair cut and today is the day.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!

with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

I still have a few of our family Thanksgiving pictures to share. I'm so thankful for all who joined in our celebration. But they will come to an end on Thanksgiving Day.
I haven't had much peanut butter fudge, but I do like chocolate fudge :)

I enjoyed all the family pictures this morning! And thank you for the sweet words of comfort. I really appreciate you......
Precious pictures of a very special time. Thanks for posting them, Ma! Love, Andrea xoxo
I don't think I've tasted real fudge since I visited Disneyland in the early 60's! Just this morning I saw online where chocolate and red wine is supposed to increase one's longevity … perhaps that - and this post - is a God wink. Ya think?
You have such a beautiful family Pam! My mother made peanut butter fudge for us every Christmas and it was a real treat! I still remember how good it was. I am really enjoying seeing all of your Thanksgiving photographs. What a special time of year! I love it! Thanks so much for all that you share. Love you to bits! xoxo
