ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Thanksgiving Day, which is a special celebration full of family gatherings, holiday meals, and giving thanks. It’s a time of roasted turkeys, cranberry confections, cornbread stuffing, piping hot pumpkin pies, football games and holiday parades.
The three day festival that is now hailed as the first Thanksgiving, took place in the village of Plymouth in 1621. Governor William Bradford organized a feast to celebrate the Pilgrims first successful corn harvest.
In 1863 President Lincoln proclaimed the last Thursday in November as the National Day of Thanksgiving. The holiday has been celebrated ever since.
Happy Thanksgiving !

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Small cheese and great welcome makes a merry feast.
William Shakespeare
We had our family feast last Saturday, so today is a quiet one here at my house. It’s a day to reflect on what I’m thankful for. This year has been filled with many blessings for me and my family.
Although I do list 3 things everyday that I’m thankful for, they don’t show half of what I do have to be thankful for. Little things happen every day that don’t get mentioned. But so often those little things, make such a big difference in my life.
Today I’m showing the last of our family Thanksgiving pictures. I am so thankful for the ones that were able to join in our celebration and missed those that weren’t there. Four of my children and their families were present as well as some of the cousins which really made for a house full. I loved seeing everyone together!
DSIL made the turkey outside in a Turkey fryer and it was delicious. He is in the picture above. He and DD daughter did a lot to make sure our time together was a happy one. Everyone brought a dish to share and we had more than enough to go around. Many, including me, took some leftovers home.
I hope you all have a GREAT Thanksgiving Day!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Dear Lord; we beg but one boon more:
Peace in the hearts of all men living,
Peace in the whole world this Thanksgiving.
Joseph Alexander
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Thanksgiving is possible only for those who take time to remember; no one can give thanks who has a short memory.

May peace be yours this Thanksgiving Day. Have a safe and happy holiday!
Happy Thanksgiving to you! You are one of the most thankful people I know! My sister, Nita, is too.
Love your long table with family on both sides! Bet this wasn’t the only table to hold all the family that gathered that day!
I know you will enjoy the quiet reflection of this day.
I bet that turkey was delicious! I'm going to have to try to fry one sometime down the road. I know my brother has in the past and has said it was delicious. Looked like a great family gathering you had, Ma. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us over the last few days.

Happy ☺ Thanksgiving 🍁
I was thinking of you this morning, Pam; believing you were keeping warm with memories from Saturday's celebration. Wow, that's some undertaking your SIL did. Unfortunately, the deep-fried turkey we ordered wasn't particularly good. Tom described it as (looking like) something left on the side of the road had rusted. Oops! :)
What a beautifully full household for Thanksgiving, MA. I've often wondered about those fried turkeys. I've never had one, believe it or not, but I remember when they became a "thing". Love, Andrea xoxo
