ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Son and Daughter Day which is a day for parents to acknowledge the joy their children bring into their lives. The bond between parents and their children is very special and it endures age and distance. No matter how old a person gets, their parents still see them as a child. - someone to protect and to show love to.
It’s a day to tell your children just how much they mean to you and that you respect and love them.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses.
Joyce Brothers
There is no doubt about it, my children are definitely the joy of my life. I’m so very thankful that I have had 7 that call me mom. There are 6 sons and one daughter and over the years I’ve added 6 wonderful DIL’s and a great SIL too. It’s been the greatest blessing of my life to have this large wonderful family of mine. I’m pretty sure they all know just how much they mean to me, but I’ll say it once again, I do love you all !
I won’t actually see any of them today, but they all do get this post of mine every day. They are the reason I began writing on the Bright Side. I needed a way to let them know what was going on at home no matter how far away they might be.
My family is the heart and soul of what I do. They inspire me and motivate me. I’ve never had much to give them in the way of material things, but I have had a lot of love to share with them. The joy of raising them to be the great adults that they are, was the best time of my life.
Today’s pictures are of all my sons and daughters. Although we lost DDS#1 a little over year ago now, he is pictured below with his wife as he remains in our hearts forever and I’m very thankful that DDIL#1 is part of our family.
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
You don’t choose your family. They are God’s give to you, as you are to them.
Desmond Tutu
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6242. for my family, the joy of my life

6244. for happy memories
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Other things may change us, but we start and end with family.

Beautiful, Pam! It's difficult to believe a year has passed now since your son's death. Nothing, no-one can erase the memories ….. in fact, right now his smile in this picture just lights up the page!
I hope your Saturday is especially sweet.
You do have a lovely family. God bless them all. xx

You have such a great family, Ma! Truly a blessing! And really love over material things is the way to go and I know they all felt loved and still feel loved.
