THOUGHT FOR TODAY
When a moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie. That's amore...
Sung by Dean Martin
We’ve got pies and a full moon today, so it’s a day to love and celebrate ! I do love pies and one of my favorite kind to make are Impossible Pies made with Bisquick Baking Mix. They are delicious, and quick and easy to make. The best thing about them is you don’t have to make a pie crust. I made a Cherry Cheese Cake Impossible Pie for dinner last Sunday and everyone seemed to like it. It’s not your traditional cheese cake but still it made a tasty dessert.
Cherry Cheesecake Impossible Pie
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup Bisquick mix
1 package, 8 oz., cream cheese, cut into small cubes and softened.
Cheesecake topping
cherry pie filling
1/2 cup sour cream plus 1 tsp. sugar and vanilla.
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 8" pie plate.
Place milk, vanilla, egg, sugar and baking mix in blender, blend for about 20 seconds on high. *I used an electric mixer instead and beat on high. Add cream cheese, blend about 2 minutes more. Pour into pie plate, bake until firm in center. Cool. Spread sour cream topping over the cheese cake pie. and top with cherry pie filling.
I forgot to get a picture of the cherry cheesecake pie and the only pictures of pies on my computer happened to be a pumpkin pie, a turkey pot pie, and some graham cracker pies so that is what the pictures are of today.
Tonight we’ll be seeing the Full Wolf Moon. It appeared when wolves howled in hunger outside the villages. It is also known as the Old Moon. To some Native American tribes, this was the Snow Moon, but most applied that name to the next full Moon, in February.
Here’s a little moon trivia for you today:
A bright first Moon promises rain and a bountiful harvest; a red-tinted Moon means a dry year.
A growing Moon and a flowing tide are lucky times to marry.
A halo around the Moon predicts wet or stormy weather.
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday !

This is one of your posts It will be easy to follow up on especially using your recipe. Saturday is library day for me and I will pick up some cherry pie filling at the Dollar General. No snow for us, how bout y'all.
That is interesting with the pie recipe with Bisquick in it. Sounds yummy though :) How fun too with national pie day and the full moon tonight :)
betty
Yikes! I just realized the holidays came and went, and I did get around to eating a slice of pumpkin pie. (Oooooh, and is that an egg-nog looking all elegant-like in a wine glass?)
Yours are interesting facts about the moon. For no discernible reason, it (the moon) sometimes creeps me out. Heck, I'm probably taking Sinatra's "Old Devil Moon" far too literally. :)
Oh, that last picture looks SO GOOD! (And I love using Bisquick!)
I made the cheesecake pie this afternoon. We are going to have a great TV snack tonight.
