Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
National Siblings Day takes place on April 10, 2014. It's a day of celebration and recognition for brothers and sisters. While friends and spouses may come and go, siblings are the intricate fabric of our lives from birth to death. They share those special and not so special moments and memories in our lives only a brother and sister can understand. For those fortunate enough to have a sibling or two or three, today serves as an important reminder to cherish, celebrate and remember those incredibly special and sacred relationships

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
To the outside world we all grow old. But not to sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other’s hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time.

I’ve been very blessed to have two younger sisters. Among my many blessings, this is the one I'd put at the top. I love the times we get together and rehash the past. Some of their memories are different from mine and it’s always fun to hear how they viewed the happenings in our lives from their perspective. They are very special to me and I’m thankful to have them.
Saturday will be our family Easter celebration. I love seeing my children get together. They always have the best of times reminiscing about their childhoods too. Although we’ll be missing two of my son’s and their families, it’ll still be quite a gathering.
It’ll be a busy day here as I’ve got some shopping to do to make sure I have what is needed for my donation to the feast. I call it a feast because there will be a great variety of food on the table. More than even this big family can devour. I need to get the spare room ready for company too. After being closed up, a little refreshing is needed.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday! Make it a great one!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Help one another, is part of the religion of sisterhood.
Louisa May Alcott
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for a little over a year and have now reached 1500 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
Those are the same stars, and that is the same moon, that look down upon your brothers and sisters, and which they see as they look up to them, though they are ever so far away from us, and each other.

A bit of love from someone dear…

I liked all the Easter pictures, so much festivity with them. I would imagine it is a feast at your gatherings, Ma, people bringing favorites plus new things they might like for everyone to enjoy. I like that today is National Siblings Day; I'll tell that to my husband; it is his brother's birthday.
I learned something new about you today, Ma; I knew you had at least one sister, but learned you had two and that you are the oldest; there is that special bond indeed between siblings.
Have a great day!

How I love the Tale of Peter Rabbit... I hope you have a wonderful gathering!
I have three younger brothers, two I grew up with and one I have only met by talking on the phone... We are trying to figure out when to celebrate Easter as I work all Easter weekend... Happy Thursday!! :)
I will have to try hard to "polish the dull side" this time, Ma, as my dear brother just passed away in February. So I will not be with him or talk to him today, but I will "polish" the memories I have of him... as they are many & very beautiful.
Hope you enjoyed your day!
God bless~ Andrea
