Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Sorry Charlie Day is celebrated on April 6th. Sorry Charlie Day is for all of those who have been rejected, and yet somehow survived it. Celebrate this day by taking a minute to remember a past rejection. After doing this, be happy und realize the fact, that this happens to all of us. Do you remember Charlie the Tuna? He was often rejected but would keep going on with a smile. 'Sorry, Charlie' became closely associated with StarKist and was also a popular American catchphrase. Rejection never stopped Charlie, do not let it stop you!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Learn to smile at every situation. See it as an opportunity to prove your strength and ability.
Joe Brown
Disappointment is a part of life. I don’t think that there is anyone that hasn’t faced it at a time or two and our ability to deal with failure and rejection has a hand in determining how successful and happy we are. We can choose to get better and not bitter, it’s our choice.
Try to change the way you view rejection and recognize that it’s only temporary. Avoid letting the rejection make you feel bad about yourself or that you can’t do something. We can get back up and move forward. If at first you don’t succeed then try and try again.
The weather man says that today is to be mostly sunny and in the 50’s. This is a welcome relief after having several days of rain and cloudy skies.
I hope you all have a restful and relaxing Sunday!
Being in a good frame of mind helps keep one in the picture of health.

PRAYER REQUEST
DDIL#6 wrote saying: Can you up my cousin and her family on your prayer list one more time. This time for strength and eventual peace. The baby had her first of what was to be many brain surgeries yesterday, and though she came out of the procedure...they lost her. Any prayers to help everyone through this would be appreciated.
May the dear Lord send His loving care to all the family in their time of sorrow.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
If you don't get everything you want, think of the things you don't get that you don't want.
Oscar Wilde
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for a little over a year and have now reached 1500 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1553. for the chance to try again
1554. for a sunny day, that improves my disposition immensely
1555. for smiles, a curve that sets things straight
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day.

Oh that is so sad about your DDIL's cousin and their baby. Definitely will say a prayer for comfort for them.
I loved the commercials of Charlie the Tuna; too cute they would have a day like this. And you are right, Ma, every single one has been disappointed at least once in their lives, but we do grow from those times I do think.

Adding your DDIL's cousin's baby to my prayer list. DO keep us posted.
Thinking about disappointment, there are not many who get through this life without some troubles and let downs. It's how we handle them that counts. Love to you today and always, xxoo
