Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Holy Saturday, a day of anticipation, as we know Christ will be resurrected the next day. It’s a solemn day to ask for the grace to imagine Jesus lying in the tomb, in death. It is from this death, the same death we will all experience, that Jesus is raised. The sorrow of Good Friday is replaced by quiet hope. We can not feel the deepest joy of Easter without spending some time reflecting on this good news. Take time today to pause to give thanks for the gift of mercy and life we have been given.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Easter says you can put truth in a grave, but it won't stay there.
Clarence W. Hall
I’m so looking forward to Easter morning ! Truly after Easter our real Spring begins here. We’ll see more warmer days than not and everything that has been lying in wait will begin to bloom. Just as the resurrection of Jesus gives us an eternal perspective of death that fills us with hope, we’ll begin the rebirth of all that is colorful and fragrant too.
I love the feel of the sun on my face. I love the smell of the flowering trees. They surely are the incense of life. The grass greening up, the daffodils waving in the wind and the trees putting out new leaves gives hope that the winter’s deadness is giving way to new life.
I take none of it for granted, cherishing every single day.
Life is a wonderful gift.
I hope you all have a super Saturday! Enjoy !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
He takes men out of time and makes them feel eternity.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for a little over a year and have now reached 1500 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1592. for eternal life, if we but believe.
1593. for a day to reflect on our beliefs
1594. for new life and rebirth
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
Tomb, thou shalt not hold Him longer;
Death is strong, but Life is stronger;
Stronger than the dark, the light;
Stronger than the wrong, the right…
Phillips Brooks, An Easter Carol
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

I'm off to work today...Have a Blessed Saturday!! :)
Good thoughts to spend some time today contemplating on the good news of that first Easter morn. I always wondered how the disciples and his followers spent this day so many years ago; not having hope, feeling discouraged, sad, grief filled, only to have the joy, incredible joy, of the discovery of the empty tomb the following morning. I am so glad we have that continual hope every single day of our lives!
