NATIONAL COLOR DAY

A day to help those stuck in a beige world understand and appreciate the world of color. How it effects your day, your heath, and your life.

Autumn is the perfect time to celebrate colors.  The landscapes are full of color everywhere you go.

Colors are so important that even the color of the food we eat matters.  

And of course football fans everywhere know that you need to wear your teams color to show your support.

Color influences us in so many ways, from our emotions to what color shoes or tie we wear, so have some fun and make this day even more colorful and special for you and the people around you.

A woodland in full color is awesome as a forest fire, in magnitude at least, but a single tree is like a dancing tongue of flame to warm the heart.

I do have a lot of color around my house.  My bathroom is turquoise.  It's an uplifting and stimulating color.  The walls of my front room and dining room are a shade of pumpkin.  This color encourages conversation and is an appetite stimulator.  No wonder I'm always hungry.

My kitchen is shades of sky blue which is said to promote products and services related to cleanliness like water purification filters, and cleaning liquids. But I have added accents of red everywhere and red represents joy, passion, and love. 

If a day is particularly dreary and dark, I always try wear something with bright and sunny colors.  Colors do affect our moods and our attitudes.  The color yellow evokes pleasant, cheerful feelings.

COLORS

Orange -- Positives: You are nurturing, outgoing, creative & practical.
Negatives: Competitive, restless. Off with orange when you feel confused. 

Brown -- Positives: Honest and down-to-earth, you prefer a structured lifestyle.
Negative: You may avoid problems. Down with brown if you need a lift. 

Green -- Positives: You are generous with a keen eye for detail.
Negatives: Overly cautious, untrusting. Give up green when you're indecisive. 

Red -- Positives: You are physically active and highly motivated -- a natural leader.
Negatives: Short-tempered, impulsive. Run from red when you're feeling tense.

Negative: You overreact. Bag blue when you're feeling... blue. 

Purple -- Positives: You are sensitive and have high aspirations.
 Negatives: Arrogant, rude, impatient. Prohibit purple when you feel used. 

Yellow -- Positives: You are an interesting, cope-with-anything individual.
 Negative: You may worry too much. Yellow's a lemon if you feel vulnerable. 

Black -- Positives: You are strong-willed, disciplined, and independent.
Negative: You may lack confidence. Ban black when you need to mingle.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS

Please pray for God's protection of

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in

your loving hands.

Protect them as they protect us.

Bless them and their families for the

selfless acts they perform for us

in our time of need. I ask this in the

name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters

and Paramedics and EMT's
