For Tuesday, July 26th, 2011
All or Nothing Day is certainly as day of extremes. If you're a gambler, it's a day to go for broke. A little drastic day, perhaps. There's definitely no grey area in how you spend this day.
There is nothing that cannot happen today.
Mark Twain
Bagelfest started back in 1986 with Murray Lender, owner of Lender's Bagels. It was created as a way to celebrate the bagel and encourage people to honor this breakfast staple.
Harry Lender opened a bagel bakery on the east coast in 1962. This first bakery was only 800 square feet in size. Eventually, Lender moved his operations to a location in Montoon, Illinois and the company expanded, eventually popularizing the frozen bagel around the country.
If you live near or are planning to travel to Montoon, Illinois, you can attend the Bagelfest celebration at the Lender's bagel factory. Each year over 40,000 people show up to receive free bagels and listen to live music4 slices American cheese
2 ounces Shaved Ham
Place bagel tops on the grill. Close the lid and heat for 3 minutes. Remove bagel tops from the grill and keep warm.
Place 2 slices of cheese on each bagel bottom. Top with the ham.
Place on the grill and close the cover. Allow to cook for 3 minutes.
Remove from the grill and top with the bagel top.
I take nothing for granted. I now have only good days or great days.

Ummm . . . I love bagels with strawberry-flavored creme cheese!
Thanks for the reminder that we become what we think; it's so easy to lose sight of that truth.
Hope your day is going well!

mmm.... I love bagels, especially the cinnamon raisin ones. My sil in Toronto used to pick up huge bags of fresh ones from the Jewish baker around the corner from where she lived. They were soooooo good! I love your thoughts as always. xxoo
