Space Day gives you the opportunity participate in the excitement and fascination of space. It's a topic of interest to millions, old and young alike. It's a topic as broad as the universe.

Former astronaut and Senator John Glenn expandedSpace Day to International Space Day in 2001.

Originally started to get America's youth interested in math and science, Space Day focuses upon creating an interest and awareness of all kinds of topics and issues related to space. Why not get out your telescope and view the heavens.

Today is NO Diet Day

International No Diet Day began in 1992, the idea of a British author who was trying to raise awareness of eating disorders, size acceptance and weight discrimination in society

The sheer size of the diet industry here in North America ought to be persuasive evidence that we may have swung too far toward accepting that old maxim You can't be too rich or too thin. Today is meant to bring attention to size acceptance, while remaining mindful of the harmful effects that obesity can have on a person's health. Oh, and you still can't be too rich!

International No Diet Day encourages us to appreciate the bodies we have.

Today is good opportunity to reassess and evaluate your weight management goals and perspective, and to make certain your efforts to be thin don't come at a risk to your health. If you decide that continuing your diet is right for you, then use today to take a one day break.

Remember the old saying: You're body is your temple. In your efforts to make your temple a thin one, do so in a safe and healthy manner. Get in the habit of eating normally, without dieting. This means usually eating at regular times, typically three meals and one or two snacks to satisfy hunger.
